Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy Level(s):

X Remembering X Understanding ☐ Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☐ Creating

Levels of Technology Integration:

X Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☐ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.

☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning newscast,
posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

In the PowerPoint, it includes audio narration of my voice reading along with the slides. The PowerPoint will
be uploaded to the class website to be used as a reference. The MP4 helps students who struggle with
recognizing words. Having the students listen to the words can help them recognize the words. This also
keeps the student engaged because they will respond with the answers to the questions.

Lesson idea implementation:

The teacher will present the Shape PowerPoint to the class. After it plays through one time, the teacher will
go back through the Shape PowerPoint and have a whole class discussion why each shape looks different. The
students will point out different shapes in the classroom. After the students find a shape in the classroom,
they will go to the smart board and draw shapes that they have stopped around the classroom.

After the discussion, the students will make a clown using the shapes that they have learned in the
PowerPoint. The students’ clown can look different. After making the clown the students will write a sentence
about the clown. This will be made into an e-book with the students’ voice narration about their clowns. This
e-book will be posted to the class website.

Reflective Practice:

To extend this lesson, the students can start grouping the shapes by their color. The students will bring things
to be put on the wall. They will have a show and talk about what they brought and place it on the floor in its
correct grouping. Padlet will help with this because the students will be able to find other shapes online that
goes with the groups of shapes.
