2. PRESENTACIÓN

A través de esta guía de aprendizaje se busca que los aprendices logren fortalecer los aprendizajes ya adquiridos
sobre los modales HAVE TO, MUST, MUST NOT and SHOULD y tengan las herramientas necesarias para poder
desarrollar el test.

3. FORMULACIÓN DE LAS ACTIVIDADES DE APRENDIZAJE

 Actividad 1.

Read and review the modals use.

Should – Use for advices (Sickness / illeness)

Must – Use for external obligation – (obligation, recommendations, high probability,


rules/law)

Must Not / Mustn’t – Use for prohibiton, restrictions (it has a consequence)

Have to Use for internal obligation (things you are obligated to do; it can be
modified/ have to – has to – had to)

 Actividad 2.

Now, use the modals coreclty and justified why did you use it.

Use HAVE TO, MUST, MUST NOT and SHOULD, then write why did use it.

EX: Karen has a headache. She SHOULD take some analgesics. (Advice)

1) I Must wake up early to go to school in the morning. (_rule_)


2) They MUST visit the downtown museum. It’s amazing! (strong recommendation)
3) Last month, I Have to take my dog to the vet. Pumba wasn´t feeling well.
(SICKNESS)

Nota: Chicos la idea es que lo realicen y justifiquen el por que hicieron uso del modal
como muestra el ejemplo.
