HOW TO FACE FEAR?


As is well known fear is a natural, powerful, and primitive human emotion. Fear alerts us to
the presence of danger or the threat of harm, whether that danger is physical or
psychological. Fear can also be a symptom of some mental health conditions including
panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In the movie “how to face fear?” with Will Smith, he tells us about how fear affects us
unconsciously and is part of us:
“The fear is everything, is if there was one a concept that I would suggest to people to take
a daily confrontation with, its fear. The problem with fear is that it lies” many times fear
clings to our lives, not letting us advance and insecurities come to the fore, that is why it is
necessary to face them.
In the interview Will said that he went skydiving in Dubai, that is a really interesting
confront with fear, he went with his Friends, obviously the fear seized him just thinking
about what he was going to do.
The moment he is already in the air, peace seizes him, and it is incredible to feel that, when
minutes, and even days before it was the feeling that did not let you sleep and tormented
you, and now it is a beautiful feeling because you already confronted it.and in a one second
you realize that it´s the most blissful experience of your life. You realize that the point of
máximum danger is the point of mínimum fear.
The reflection that this film leaves us is enjoying every moment, there is no reason to
torment ourselves with sorrows of what will happen in the future, and to generate
uncertainty in us. Why are you scared in your bed 16 hours before? Why could you enjoy
breakfast?, There´s actually no reason to be scared, it only just rains your day.
We often allow fear, worry, and insecurity to dominate and define our lives. We allow them
to steal fun, sleep, and our most treasured illusions. To face your fears you have to make
your positive thoughts dominate you. Thoughts that relate to fear will only attract more
fear.
I agree with Will when he said that “the confrontation with fear is an absolutely magical
way of facing the things we have to do in this life” I think it is very difficult, but if we face
them and we are victorious, it will be one of the greatest achievements of our lives, I
consider that the human mind has all the control and if we think positive and have a real
and correct posture we can face our greatest fears.
The Siddharta Gautama, the Buddha said that “Good people have to get out of the bed
every day and try to empty the ocean with a ladle” Dare to put yourself in the situations that
scare you, take a deep breath and take the leap. Only in this way will you learn to break
your limits, even if it seems totally crazy.
