Norm it is refers to the standardized test that are designed

to compare and rank the test takers

score are given as a rank based on other students score and


this test is given with the large member of students

the test or assessment will take longer period of time and


the assessment developed on a national level.

Example: SAT test , it is a multiple choice ,or pencil paper


test created and administered by the college board . the
purpose of the SAT test is to measure a high school
student’s readiness for college or like the entrance exam to
enter a university or colleges , and NCAE is a test taken by
high school students in the Philippines that determines
their strengths in different career fields and BAR Exam for
the professinal

Criterion it is a style of test which uses test scores to


generate a statement about the behavior that can be
expected by individual like teacher.

Example:pre test Quizzes, monthly test and periodical test


and in college it is what we call preliminary,midterm and
finals

Contextualization it involve developing activities that


involve students in applying what they learned through an
activity and involves teachers in coaching more which
requires more formative assessment

Example : reading a story with a questioner or


doing/answering activities. And experimenting or
experimentation

De-contextualization it includes written exam and term


papers which are suitable for assessing declarative
knowledge and do not necessary have a direct connection
in real-life context .

Example : essay writing,reaction and reflection paper this is


a kind of assessment that the students giving their own
taught or opinion about the topic .
