Ingles III And the Award Goes to… You can imagine know a person that is can fight the xenophobia and help in the rights of the children on everything a neighborhood of a town? That it is Luis Alfonso Arrieta, a Mister who was born on August 7 of 1879 in Caucasia Antioquia, and live there. His family was very humble and of few resources, he did not have the opportunity of finish his academic education because his mother was sick with cancer and his father the abandoned when he knew of the disease of his wife. Then Luis Alfonso had that work for maintain to his mother and his brothers minors. Later he was able to work and study at the same time, and thus be able graduate of high school and study to be a teacher, providing a better quality of life for his mother and family. After of a few years Luis was able work in a school in his community as a Spanish teacher. Luis Alfonso gave free classes to children of few resources outside the church in his community on Wednesday in the afternoon, he did not want another child to go through what he experienced, and in Christmas, every December 24 he gave many toys to all the children. All this brought an achievement for Luis Alfonso, who was awarded and recognized for his good acts with the community and that children can access free education in different schools. Another event for which Luis Alfonso is recognized is for having helped to an emigrant family from Venezuela who were in the neighborhood where he lived, where they were physically and verbally abused by people by the nationality. Luis Alfonso offered food, schooling to the children and to the mother and father of this family, he helped to find work. He was able of make that stop treating those people badly, and now all people say of Luis Alfonso that "he is a good Samaritan, that he is always ready to help others without receiving anything in return." Luis Alfonso should be the winner of the award for a hero of the city, for the following reasons: 1. He help to the members of his society without expecting anything in return, stands and is recognized for his excellent work with the children, provided free classes and helped access education. 2. He combated the xenophobia that existed in his neighborhood towards the Venezuelan family by their place of origin or nationality. 3. he did make aware to the people of his neighborhood so that they would stop mistreating people from other parts of the world, showing them that they are the same as everyone else, they are people who feel and sometimes go through many difficulties that put them in that situation of emigrating. 4. He did not give up and continue studying and working for help his family move forward despite the difficulties that arose throughout his life.
