Aim: Program designed for mental health students and professionals with the case history,
MSE, psychotherapy discussion and regular assignments.

Objectives:
• Psychiatric case including case formulation and psychotherapy discussion
• Theoretical framework of case formulation
• Team activities during assignment and case discussion
• Shadow counselling sessions: People can observe the live case sessions
• Demo therapy sessions

Regarding the Internship:

Trainer have been providing active training session from the past 5 years. He has been
providing active online monthly programs for students across India from the past 2 years.

Internship agenda:

Week one:

• Orientation
• Case history taking and MSE
• Introduction counselling and psychotherapy

Week two:

• Shadow counselling sessions

• Case formulation
• Behavioural therapy
Week three:

• Psychiatric case discussion with psychological assessment and psychotherapies

• Psychotherapy management using eclectic therapy approaches
• Therapy and case management

Week four:

• Group activities of mock case history taking and therapies under supervision of the
trainer
• Shadow counselling sessions- Followed by discussion of the cases

Week five:

• ICD eligibility criteria and characteristic features of psychiatric disorders

• Psychoanalytical psychotherapy
• Psychodynamic psychotherapy

Week six:

• Cognitive behavioural therapy using worksheets

• Psychodynamic psychotherapy continued

Week seven:

• Mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT)

• Mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR)

Week eight:

• Practice of therapies and case discussion continued

Topics included in assignments:

• To read various topics of psychiatric disorders and psychotherapy for individual and
group discussion
• Oral presentations of the assignments assigned in team work

• E-materials covered in the program
• Long lasting contact with the clinical psychologist to continue after the workshop and
possibly work under supervision of the trainer in the future.
