One example of an experience with cultural hybridization is the fast food chains here in

the Philippines. For instance, McDonalds here has the “Chicken McDo” which is a

staple in the Philippines. It is not available elsewhere. Other products in the local McDo

menu which are Philippine-exclusive are the longganisa, the chicken fillet a la king, and

the McSpaghetti. In this example, food is the hybridized artifact since it incorporates

Filipino cultural tastes with the highly American company.
