A. Read the following advertisement and select the correct words to introduce the adjective
clauses! Sometimes more than one answer is possible.
Our downtown office is looking for a creative person 1who can meet work deadlines. The
ideal person for thus job is someone 2who can translate a client’s ideas and needs into a
dynamic Web page. We need a designer 3whose imagination can help turn mundane
Web pages into innovative sites. In addition, we are looking for a person 4who knows
HTML and JAVA, programming languages 5 which our company uses extensively. If
interested, you should submit a detailed resume, a small portfolio of previous Web
creations, and three letters of reference from clients for 6whom you have worked during
the last five years.
B. What is your concept of the ideal teacher and the ideal student? In the first paragraph,
write a description of the kind of teacher you like best. In the second paragraph, imagine
that you are a teacher. What kind of student do you prefer to have? Include some of the
phrases from the boxes, appropriately finished with adjective (relative) clauses!
