Explanation of the 24VDC wiring, lead from the logic board to the clamping motor.

This is a piece of
wiring where one part stands still and another part spins around with the cradle. This is done via an
inductive slipring commutator, as can be seen in the picture below:

The flange holds onto a bushing, that is attached to the main shaft. See picture below.

See picture below for cable coming out of the main shaft at the front side of the machine:
And being guided upwards to the clamping motor:

See overview+ guiding bracket:

Finally the cable is connected to the clamping motor on top of the cradle:

Should it ever be necessary to replace the commutator, please proceed as follows:

Untie the complete motor cable from the motor, including the cable connectors, right up to the point
where it goes into the main shaft to the back of the machine. Then, at the back of the machine, untie
and disconnect the cable from the guiding bar. Unscrew the guiding bar (held to the frame with 2
screws) from the frame and the commutator from the bushing of the main shaft (3 screws). Now the
commutator can be gently pulled backwards while feeding inwards the main cable from the front side.
After approx. 10 cm, you’ll see the cable connection between main cable and commutator wiring. Here
both parts can be disconnected.
