De-airing pumps on the HA X80

After filling the canisters it is not longer possible

to “de-air" the pumps by hand. The valves are in
the home position "Normally closed" (connection
between pump and canister is closed).
In the new situation you have to use the Flush
function in FFmMaintenance.
Open FFmMaintenance (2.1 or higher),
“Diagnose”, “Conditioning” use the “Flush”
function 3 times to “de-air” the pumps.

3
Colorant Conditioning Parameters in the Settings

After installation you have to set the Colorant

Conditioning parameters in the Settings.
Using PP2: Log on as Administrator, go to
“Maintenance”, “Configuration”, “Settings”, here you
can set your “Colorant Conditioning” parameters.
Non-PP users: Go to “Settings” via CW4 or
IDDTest.net
If installing a copied *.ide4 file from one existing
machine it is not necessary to set these value’s it
will be set automatically reading the *.ide4 file and
set these values.

5
Valve alignment offset

To check the alignment of the valve.

FFmMaintenance, “Diagnose”, “Valve”. Give the
machine a reset. Check the position of the
dispense hole towards its surrounding surface.
Select the Large hole and check the position, if
necessary adjust with the + and – the alignment.
To check the alignment, switch between the large
and the medium hole. Closing FFmMaintenance
will save the setting.

6
Valve Hole selection

There are three dispense holes in the bale valve.

By default we use the small and big hole, if necessary you can
select the middle hole.
It can happen that some colorant cause dispense problems by
using the small hole.
Normally this setting is hidden, if you need to change
the valve opening you have to type the line in the *.ide4-file
under the channel concerned.
There are two settings to choose from, ValveOpening= 3
or ValveOpening=5, 3= Middle and Big 5= Small and Big.
You have to type “ ValveOpening=3”
All three holes are default flushed.

7
Machine Movements.

8
Movement indicator

No pump in the sensor and the valve is not at home

there is no movement of the pump, valve, table possible.
See page 12.

No pump in the sensor, valve at home, stepper at

home. Table is allowed to turn.

9
Pump stepper at home, valve in a not at home position. Table is
not allowed to turn.
Valve is allowed to turn.

Pump and valve on home position, table allowed to turn.

If the stepper is also on home position (Sensor 2).
During the 5 watt "power save" mode, the stepper home
sensor is turned off(Sensor 2).

10
E99

E34,E33, reset from operator display.

E99 (follow up-error)
Visual check is needed what is blocking the table movement.
From Firmware version 1.00.13 it is possible with the reset button to try to get
the Error 99 solved.
When it is possible that the table can turn and you click the reset button in
FFmMaintenance the table will try to move with a very low speed.
It will move 2mm anti clockwise and 90mm clockwise to get a pump in the home
position.
If the firmware isn’t able to solve the E99 see the next page.

11
Error E99

If you can not free the motion of the valve or the table
can't turn, it is necessary to remove the valve bracket.
Remove the four hexagonal screws (red circles).
Remove the complete bracket, bring if necessary the
pump stepper back on the home position, set the valve on
the home position. Turn the table to the "Reset" position
place the valve bracket and give the machine a reset.

12
Turntable Slack Measure.

During maintenance or installation

of a new turntable motor it is
recommended to check the slack
(free play between motor and table
gear teeth, up to the moment the
tablemotor starts driving the table).
Click start and the table will check
on 3 positions (each 120° apart)
the slack.

13
Values for slack:
This part will updated a.s.a.p

To adjust the Slack you need to loose the upper two bolts only,
with the set bolt you can adjust the slack. After reach the
correct slack value secure the upper two bolts again.

14
Seal Piston rod replacing.

1. Remove the service panel

2. Turn the pump in front,

you can turn the table by
hand without any problem.

3. Use the special tool to screw the

tube from the valvehouse.
Turn it anti clockwise to loosen
the tube.

15
4. Turn the blue ring till it
is blocked by the valve
house. You must see
the blue tabs, that is the
end of the slide.

5. Now you can wiggle the

pump off the valve house.
Do this very carefully.

16
6. Push the piston rod out of the tube in
the direction of the arrow. Check the
inside of the tube for any contamination.

7. Take the new piston rod and place

it in the tube, insert the new piston
as indicated in the picture.

17
8. Place the O ring back on the
tube before placing. Do not
place the Oring in the valve
house before placing the tube
back.

18
9. Place the piston rod maximum
2mm back in the tube as shown on
the picture. This because you can
not push the rod down when placed
on the valve house back again.

19
Third Party Software

Using Largo you must set no hook in the Channels “Driver Handles Remove Can”
Set no hook at the Brush and no value by Nozzle cleaning.

In all third party software it is not allowed to set any Purge time or Purge amount.
All conditioning parameters are set on the HA X80 board, via the *.ide4 file.
