SENSOR’S CLEANING -ALARM TESTING & ZEROING PROCEDURES

STEP-BY-STEP CLEANING AND ALARM TESTING INSTRUCTIONS
Cell’s cleaning procedure :

1. Turn off the power of the Focas-1800 unit.


2. Take out the Upper Lid part (Cap) of the sensor.
3. Fill the sensor with 2 bottle caps of Washing solution or Mineral Water.
4. Put unit’s brush inside the cell and clean it as in the above photos.
5. Drain the Water from the sensor by opening the drain cap at the bottom of the sensor.
6. Close the Drain Cap and the Upper Lid part (Upper Cap).
7. Turn on the Unit and the Fresh water Valve.
8. Press the “Valve” Button inside the panel of the unit (Position of the button can be found in
photo in page No.5).
9. Wait until washing procedure will be done and Stain of Detector LED lamp will turn on Green.
10. Now unit is in Stand-by mode and ready for operation.

Alarms test procedure :

1. Turn the “Operation” switch to “Test position”. (See photo in page “No.5” for the position of the
switch).
2. Close the Fresh Water and Sample valves.
3. Press “Power” button once. “UP” indication will appear on the screen and wait until
measurement will appear. (See photo in page “No.5” for the position of the switch).
4. When PPM measurement will appear press the “Oil Alarm” button for more than 3 seconds.
5. When testing will be finished, open the Fresh Water valve and press the “Power” button to start
the sensor’s flushing (washing) procedure.
6. When the washing will be finished turn the “Operation” switch back to “Auto”.
7. Unit is in stand-by mode and ready for operation.

NOTE: DO NOT OPEN THE UPPER LID PART (UPPER CAP) DURING ANY OPERATION OF THE UNIT.
WATER LEAKAGE MAY BE PASS INSIDE THE SENSOR THROUGH THE SENSOR’S HOLES (SEE PAGE No.3)
AND CAUSE A MALFUNCTION.

FOCAS-1800 Zero-point Compensation

PREPARATION

1. Stop freshwater inlet with rubber stopper.


2. Remove the upper lid by loosening three screws of the
upper lid.
3. Loosen two screws of the drain cap and remove residual
water.
4. Return the drain cap to the original position.
5. Fill sample water detection tube with mineral water.
6. Return the upper lid to the original position
7. Hold down the “Valve”switch at least for 2 seconds. Fresh
water flows and cleaning of detecting tube is carried out.
8. In 120 seconds, confirm the detection tube stain
indicatoron the panel.

• Green lamp →Compensation can be performed.


• Yellow lamp or red lamp:
After cleaning the detection tube, carry out
above operation check again. If green lamp is still
not ON, repair at our factory is necessary.

Operating procedure for zero point compensation

1. Confirm that the equipment is in the standby mode and


that the green lamp lights in the detection tube stain
indicator.
2. Zeroing : Hold down the “Zeroing”switch at least for 3
seconds
3. “000”blinks on the indicator on the panel and
compensation is performed. (About2 minutes)
4. After completionof the compensation, “END” appears
on the indicator on the panel and the equipment is put to
the standby mode.
