The home schooling calendar is provided for your convenience but does not have to be submitted to the Central Office of Home Schooling unless requested. This calendar is
intended to record daily attendance and should not be used in place of quarterly reports. Please note the following excerpt from NYSED Commissioner’s Regulation Part 100.10 (f):
(f) Attendance requirements. Each child shall attend upon instruction as follows:
1. The substantial equivalent of 180 days of instruction shall be provided each school year.
2. The cumulative hours of instruction for grades 1 through 6 shall be 900 hours per year. The cumulative hours of instruction for grades 7 - 12 shall be 990 hours per year.
3. Absences shall be permitted on the same basis as provided in the policy of the school district for its own students.
4. Records of attendance shall be maintained by the parent and shall be made available to the school district upon request.

The school calendar year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 every year.
