I. CAPACITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES

Every child has rights, no matter who they are or where they live. Our government has
promise to protect, respect and fulfill these rights, yet they still violated nationwide.

Tiwi Central School’s Child Protection focus on holding the government accountable on
children’s rights standard by monitoring it’s performance and commitment and ensure
protection of every learner under its care.

In this view, the school formulated and implemented a localized school-based child
protection policy adopted from D.O #40, s.2012, Policy and Guidelines on Protecting Children
in school from Abuse, Violence, Exploitation, Discrimination, Bullying and other forms of
abuse.

The school conducted orientations and trainings to raised awareness on School Child
Protection of every learner under its care.

II. POLICY FORMULATION

Working together with the Government and other child organizations and civil society,
Tiwi Central School Child Protection Policy Committee do policy research and analysis to ensure child
rights are upheld in the government policies, procedures and laws and that child’s voices are heard and
taken into consideration.

III. STAKEHOLDERS PARTICIPATION

Internal and external stakeholders of Tiwi Central School worked hand and hand to
