The rainfall intensity and river water level for Kampung Blinbim is shown in the graph
above. It shows the data that taken every 1 hour for 5 days. The data starts being taken from 6th
February 2009 to 10th February 2009. For the graph, the vertical axis represents two data which
are rainfall intensity in mm/h for the left vertical axis and river water level in m for right vertical
axis. From the table data, we can see that there is no rainfall through out these 5 days. However,
the river water level at Kampung Blinbim for 5 days shows some changes for every hour. Based
on the graph, it shows the maximum river water level on the 1st hour of day 1. The river water
level then gradually decreases from day 1 to day 5. There are also extra information that we can
get from the graph such as the mean of the graph is 19.75225m, the median is 19.73m and the
standard deviation is 0.094437m.

Based on the graph there are decrement of river water level from day 1 to day 5. Since
there are no rainfall during the observation was conducted, the rainfall on those 5 days is not the
factor affecting the river water level. However, the station maybe experiences a rainfall days
before the observation is conducted. It is because the river water level is at its maximum during
the 1st hour on the day 1 of observation. The previous day weather maybe had a rainfall which
makes the river water level higher than the day of the observation is conducted. Then, the water
slowly decreases day by day either through evaporation since the air temperature increase day by
day (Allan and Castillo 2007) or get into the soil.
