SKU: Civil Law Rev (2021): Expectation Paper

I am happy that I have come this far, which means that I’ll be
taking the Civil Law Review II subject. I have been in law school for
about five (5) years but every new subject I have to take gives me
a feeling of excitement and expectations too. The excitement and
the expectations I had in mind is always a catalyst that fuels my
mind to think of ways on how to pass the course. With Civil Law
Review, I expect that this will be a test of how well I know the
basics of the Civil Code of the Philippines. This course will not be a
walk in the park considering that this tackles many subjects. I
would want the review to encompass both Civil Law Review I and II
to be able to review all the features of civil law.

To have a grasp of why I expect that this course is something

that I not that easy to accomplish, I’ll give a glimpse of my life as a
law student. I am a working student, had to work 8 hours in a day
to earn a living. I worked for the Department of Education South
Cotabato and assigned in the Accounting Section. I am married with
a police officer for eights years but almost a month from now, the
most excruciating dilemma of my life just happened, my husband
has been ambushed on his way to work and was declared dead on
the spot. I thought I can no longer enroll in law school since all my
desire to someday give justice to someone is my worst nightmare
today as I myself can’t give that justice to my husband. But God’s
grace really is bigger than my frustrations and His promise to help
me make it through gives me hope to continue. The reason I was in
law school is because of my husband’s belief that I can be the
person he wishes he could be, a lawyer and so, I cannot just give it
up, not now.

I always wanted to help people especially those who have

been in situations where they have left no choice but to give up on
their right because they are intimated as they have no proper
education to understand the consequences of their actions, in short
the poorest of the poor, those whose rights have been neglected
because they have no money nor knowledge to fight for it. I wanted
to become a lawyer to become a channel of justice and so, when I
become one I think I’ll be in courts oftentimes, defending those
whom I believe is in need of justice.

Even if I haven’t met my professor yet, this picture depicts

my impression of him.
A passionate and knowledgable with the course and that he
always come to class prepared. With excitement, I am very eager to
learn new skills that I can effectively use in time for my preparation
for the bar.
This would be me as a lawyer. I’ll be someone who always see
to it that justice is always serve served.
