REFLECTION

(Virtual Teaching Grammar Communicatively In The Philippines Phase 2)

DAY 1

The first session highlighted several methods for assisting students in improving and,
most importantly, enjoying their use of the second language. The learning of a language
is sometimes more difficult than the language itself. The majority of it is learning the
grammar or word order in such a way that it makes sense whenever it is spoken. This is
where the pupils' problems are. This is also where the teachers' challenge resides. One
can't fully comprehend each other if he or she don't use grammar. As a result, when
teachers and students converse, the language they use should make sense.

In any case, what made drew my interest and attention during the first day of the
webinar was the so-called “framework” or giving aide or backing at whatever point
students are learning the language. This incorporates perhaps giving action sheets or
further clarification regarding how the subsequent language functions. What kept me
wondering was how are teachers going to teach grammar properly in this present
scenario we are facing on, knowing that not every student is engaged, not every student
has access, and not every student has the help or scaffolding that they require when
learning a language. I believe this will be addressed as this webinar progresses.
