Introduction:

This document is provided for: Unidad de Negocio Guayaquil, CNEL EP hereafter referred to in this document as the
“Employer” and authorizes the Professional Thermographers Association, Inc., hereafter referred to as “Certified Level III
Thermal/Infrared Authority” and their staff, hereafter referred to as “Certifying Agent” to provide on the Employer’s
behalf, training, testing and certifications as outlined in this document.

Employer’s Training, Certification and Testing Requirements
The following reference table provides values for the variables used for training, certification and testing that
are recommended by ASNT and shall be used the default values if they are not superseded by the Employer’s
Written Practice. It should be noted that the recommended values by ASNT are provided as a guide and can
be changed by the Employer to fit the requirements of their specific needs.

9.0 If and individual is currently certified in one Thermal/Infrared technique and a full course format was used to meet the initial qualifications in that technique, the minimum additional training hours to qualify in
another technique at the same level should be 20 hours (of which at least 16 hours should be specific technique familiarization). The training outline should be as defined in the employer´s written practice. If an
individual is certified in one technique, the minimum additional experience required to qualify to another technique at the same level may be reduced by up to 50 percent, as defined in the employer´s written practice.
