TOPIC: Many people believe that social networking sites (such as

Facebook) have a huge negative impact on both individual & society. Do

you agree or disagree?

Social networks develop in the advancement of technology, gaining access amongst

citizens of the globe and immeasurably change the industrial development. Yet
despite such recognized values of social networks, my point stands as these products
of digital technology impose a negative impact on both individual and the global
community.

First and foremost, it is commonly seen that people are becoming fragemented as to
the frequent appearance of social networking sites in their daily life. Day-off are
spent on surfing the newsfeed of Facebook or Instagram instead of reading books or
taking part in social activities. This has led to a series of consequence on both of their
physical and mental health. Moreover, family life is also tremendously affected as
social networks interfere with their bonding activities on a daily basis. However, this
detorioration tends to grow dim in our lives since, figuratively speaking, the distance
amongst human beings is expanding and we hardly care about anything esle but our
Facebook or Instagram profile.

Second, social networks are inadvertently creating an environment for the abuse of
the cyber world. One of the problems that has arouse is cyber bullying. It occurs
when a social network user is attacked through electronic forms of contact by the
anonymous or unrelated. This is becoming increasingly common, especially among
teenagers, which has been for the past 5 years raised the warning to the society of a
decaying moral standard as well as the mismanagement of social network. Other
serious social issues that has been damaging the development of the community
includes false information, digital child abuse, hacking and so on,... can spring from
and be spread by social networks. The users are the most likely victim of the spread
of these issues.

To conclude, it is undeniable that social networking sites have negative influence on

the development of the society. Nonetheless, the original aim of social networks is to
connect and share among individuals, reduce the distance and create the well-
associated society. The problems does not lie on these sites, yet the users who decide
how to write their own profile.

nố i. Bà i viết đã biết cá ch chia ra hai luồ ng ả nh hưở ng là đến cá nhâ n và cộ ng đồ ng, cá ch
viết nà y tố t và dễ để khai thá c ý. Tuy nhiên, ở đoạ n 2 viết về ả nh hưở ng đến cộ ng đồ ng,
thì em mớ i chỉ viết trên mộ t phương diện đó là “people are likely to be endangered by
cyber criminals”, và khá i quá t hơn nữ a, chị nghĩ em nên nó i thêm như vấ n đề cyber
security nó sẽ thế nà o, society sẽ thà nh cá i gì nếu nhữ ng crimes nà y tiếp tụ c phá t
triển,v..v.. Như vậ y thì bà i sẽ gó i gọ n đượ c lạ i vấ n đề hơn, cũ ng như thể hiện đượ c tầ m
hiểu biết củ a mình sâ u hơn.

4. Về cá ch diễn đạ t: Nhiều chỗ diễn đạ t hơi rố i, chị có cả m giá c như kiểu em cố gắ ng giả i
thích nó ra chỉ trong mộ t câ u, đâ m đọ c nó rấ t ngá n và nhá c. Thay vì thế, chú ng ta có thể
gộ p nó lạ i (như chị đã chữ a), hoặ c an toà n hơn là tá ch thà nh hai câ u vừ a đủ độ dà i. Tấ t
nhiên trướ c đâ y chị có khuyến khích viết câ u dà i vớ i cấ u trú c phứ c, tuy nhiên nó phả i rõ
rà ng và rà nh mạ ch, khô ng nên gâ y rố i cho ngườ i đọ c.
