But first, what are farm equipment and why these are
important to farmers?
Farm machinery, mechanical devices,
including tractors and implements, used in farming to save labor.
Farm machines include a great variety of devices with a wide range of
complexity: from simple hand-held implements used since prehistoric
times to the complex harvesters of modern mechanized agriculture.
The operations of farming for which machines are used are diverse.
For crop production they include handling of residues from previous
crops; primary and secondary tillage of the soil; fertilizer distribution
and application; seeding, planting, and transplanting; cultivation; pest
control; harvesting; transportation; storage; premarketing processing;
drainage; irrigation and erosion control; and water conservation.
Livestock production, which not so long ago depended primarily on
the pitchfork and scoop shovel, now uses many complicated and
highly sophisticated machines for handling water, feed, bedding,
and manure, as well as for the many special operations involved in
producing milk and eggs.

HAND TRACTOR - Hand tractor is used to pull a plow and harrow in preparing a
large area of land.

FOUR-WHEEL TRACTOR- Four-wheel-drive tractors can be used under

many soil conditions that immobilize two-wheel-drive tractors and caterpillars. Because
of their complicated construction and consequent high cost, their use has grown rather slowly.

WATER PUMPS - Pumps are used extensively in agriculture to move water from
the water source, which could be a river, dam or bore, through pipes to either a point of
usage or a storage facility, such as a water tank or an irrigation system.
THRESHER- Thresher, farm machine for separating wheat, peas, soybeans, and
other small grain and seed crops from their chaff and straw. Primitive threshing methods
involved beating by hand with a flail or trampling by animal hooves.

CORN DEHUSKER RICE- Corn Dehusker Machine can peel off dry/wet corn husk
efficiently with strong air blowing function. It can be powered by electric motor or diesel engine.

HARVESTER- lets the crop in the field exposed to the sun for drying, storing the
harvested crop in stacks or piles. The machine is specially used for the crops to collect seeds or
edible part placed at the top of the grains and the discarding or leaving the below or inedible or
chaff part in the field

RICE SEEDER- Rice Seeder is for sowing germinated paddy seed directly in wetland
field. There is no need for transplantation. It is a manually pulled implement. It covers 8 rows of
20cm row-to-row spacing at a time. It is made up of plastic materials.
MILLER - will separate rice from its stem. After packing the unhulled rice in grain
bags, it will be hulled by a rice huller. A rice huller removes rice husks (chaffs) and other
foreign substances.
