Lesson Objectives
At the end of this lesson, you should be able to:
 Summarize the IP Office 500 upgrade procedure.
 Define the purpose of License Migration from ADI to PLDS.
 Define the purpose of the various binary files.
 Explain how the system determines which binary files to use in
an upgrade.
 Use the upgrade wizard to successfully upgrade an
IP Office 500 control unit.

License Migration
 A new tool will be available in the R10 Manager to extract existing license
information about the system that can be uploaded to OSC for migration into PLDS
R10 equivalent licenses.
 Manager: Tools → “License Migration” option from top menu bar

Locating Binary Files
 The bin files required for the upgrade are automatically found by the Wizard in the
designated working directory.

1. Access the Upgrade Wizard

Note:
Once the upgrade is done it will take
some time to write files to the SD card

2. Select the systems to be upgraded

3. Click the Upgrade button
