1.What prevented the General Manager from appointing a committee?

ANSWER: - The general manager dropped the idea of appointing a committee to look upon the
matter, may be because the manager knows about their mistakes. Appointing a committee would
show up their mistakes or wrong behavior, and if the news gets spread the reputation and goodwill
of the company would go down. As the superiors and even the colleagues were involved in a kind of
harassment done to Mr. Shashidhar would come into the case.

2. What is wrong with the recruitment policy of the company?

ANSWER: - The companies recruit employees but has no strategy of retaining the capable
employees. The superior’s treatment towards the employees is not proper. There is no work
management as the employee gets overloaded with work and the management is not bothered.
There is no policy for the employees as the work is getting passed from superiors. Even though the
company is internationally reputed firm but has no proper policies for the employees. The salary
paid to the employees is good but has no policy of giving them a good environment to work for. The
organization had no ability to retain its employees.

3. Why did Mr. Shashidhar’s resignation surprise the General Manager?

ANSWER: - Mr. Shashidhar’s resignation surprised the general manager because the management
felt that Mr. Shashidhar had the potential to bear with many and more organizational
responsibilities. Even though there had been imbalances between his family, social and
organizational life, but he was very calm and contended. Just to keep his promise towards the firm
he maximized his work and even did the work passed to him by his colleagues. Even after been ill
treated various times he showed his potential to bear up things.
