First-of-all, let’s discover what the sales order means and the usage purpose of
Standard sales orders and Rush orders.

 Definitions and the purpose of each document

 What is a sales order?

The sales order is a contractual agreement between a sales organization and a sold-to
party about delivering products or providing a service for defined prices, quantities
and times.
Standard Order is used in normal sales order processing. The delivery and
invoice are the follow-up processing activities.
The order type used to create a Standard order is OR as shown below.

Rush Order is used when standard delivery times will be ignored. The delivery
is created automatically once the order is saved.
The order type used to create a Rush order is RO as shown below.

 The difference between Rush Order and Standard Order in the

system

Rush order
In the Rush order, the system doesn’t ask you for the shipping schedule DATA (the
data mentioned below).

BUT WHY is the delivery data not important during the creation of the Rush order!!

Let me explain more

As i said before, the Rush order used when the standard delivery times will be
ignored, when we want to deliver the goods immediately, so no need to fill up the
schedule data as long as we wanna deliver the order immediately.
And for the same reason, the system exempts you from the creation of delivery, it
will be created automatically by the system with reference to your Rush order. Once
you save the Rush order, you get the message shown below, which means that your
Rush order is created and also the delivery has been created automatically.

All that we talked about in the above chapter is the normal scenario, let’s discuss
what can happen in the exception case.

 Exception case with the solution

What if after filling up all the necessary data to create the Rush order, and after save
action, the following message has shown up.

That means that the delivery that must be created automatically has not been
created. Knowing that I’m using the Rush order as the document type.

What wrong I have done !!!

During the creation of the Rush order, the system always uses the current date as the
delivery date, but if you changed it to a future date, that will cause a problem of
automatic delivery creation (no delivery created). That’s exactly what I did, I set a
future delivery date in the delivery date requested by the customer (field path:
schedule line tab  Delivery time field).
Knowing that this Rush order was created on 12/10/2021 and the delivery date
was on the same date but I changed it to 13/10/2021
The solution is I changed the delivery date from the future date to the default date
(current date) 12/10/2021. After changing the date to the default date (current date)
and save, the below message appears.

Now the delivery has been created automatically after fixation of the problem.
Standard order
In the Standard order, the process goes normally. This means that there is no
automatic delivery creation, you have to create it manually.
During the creation of the Standard order, the system will ask you for the shipping
DATA, it’s required to complete the document, so you have to fill up the below data.

And after filling up the necessary data, you can save the document and complete the
sales process normally.
