1. GIVE FIVE EXAMPLES OF THE ORGANIZATION COVERED BY THE NGO AND ITS ROLE.

*IBON Foundation- is a non-profit research, education and information-development institution with

programs in research, education and advocacy based in the Philippines. It provides socioeconomic
research and analysis on people's issues to various sectors (primarily grassroots organizations). It aims
to contribute to people's empowerment through education and advocacy support. The foundation is
also engaged in international solidarity work.

*Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism- is a non-profit media organization specializing in

investigative journalism. It is based in Quezon City, Philippines. Established in 1989 by nine Filipino
journalists, the organization funds investigative projects for both the print and broadcast media.

*ChildHope Asia- Childhope Regional Office for Asia was established in July 1989 after the First
Regional Conference of Street Children in Asia held in Manila in May 1989.

*Habitat for Humanity Philippines (HFHP)- Since Habitat for Humanity Philippines started operations
in 1988, it has served more than 140,000 families with decent housing. With significant scaling up of
its activities, Habitat Philippines is able to help an average of over 25,000 families annually since 2013.
Habitat and its partners also provide families with improved access to clean water, sustainable
energy, healthcare, education and livelihood. Working in a country that lies along the Pacific Typhoon
Belt and the Pacific Ring of Fire, Habitat frequently responds to devastating natural disasters that hit
the Philippines annually.

*Philippine Red Cross- is an independent and autonomous non-government organization tasked to

help the Philippine government in the humanitarian field and to adhere to the obligations of the
Philippines to the Geneva Conventions and International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movements.
 2. HOW DO NGO’s HELP THE COMMUNITY? (your answer must be three (3) paragraphs long)
Answer: The role of NGOs in the social change is that some of the great NGO significantly
changes the outlook of the society. They provide financial assistance or grants for community-based
projects. Through the different project of NGO's we can have a better living.

Non Government Organization (NGO), voluntary group of individuals or organizations, usually not
affiliated with any government, that is formed of provide services or to advocate a public policy.
Although some NGOs are for profit corporations, the vast majority are nonprofit organization.

Also, It is big opportunity to help our community through the plan or projects of NGOs. We're gonna
take it as advantage of the project of NGOs. And to live as peace.
