The Board of Drestors of CiL fn thelr 287" meetng held on 13.08.2012 has approved to include Child Core
Leave (CCL) to female executives in CiL Executive Leave Rules, Accordingy the provisions of COL is inserted a
Clause 7 14 in the Coal india Executives Leave Rules 2010 circulated vide office order No, CILIC-BA(My/ Leaver 1460

Clause No.- Child Care Leave (CCL)
7.44 Female executives having minor children may be grated Child Care Leave by an authority competent
to grant maternity leave, for a maximum period of two years (ie. 730 days) during their entire service
for taking care of up-to two eldest surviving children whether for rearing or to lock after any of ther
reeds like examination, sickness oto, Child Cade Leave shall not be admissible if the child is eighteen
{Years of age or older. During the peried of such leave, the female executives shall be paid leave salary
qual to the pay drawn immediately before proceeding on leave. It may be availed of in more than one
‘spel. The leave account for Chilo Care Leave shall be maintained in the proforma (Annexura-It) and it
hal be kept along with the Service Book of the female executive concemed. Chid Care Leave may
[aso be allowed for the third year as leave not due (without production of medical certficate). It may be
‘combined with leave of the kind due anc admissible,
CChild Cate Leave shall bo granted eubject to following conditions:
(@) Chic Gare Leave cannot be demanded as a metter of right. Under no circumstances can any
employee proceed on Chid Care Leave without prior proper approval of the leave by the leave
‘sanctioning authorty.

(b) twill be treated lke Earned leave and sanctioned as such
(c) Saturdays, Sundays. Gazetted Holidays etc. falling during the period of leave would also count
{for Chile Cars Leave as in the ease of Eamed Leave,
(4) The leave will not be allowed more than three spells in a calendar year
(0) Child Care Leave may not be granted fo loss than 15 days in 2 spell
()— LICILLTC cannot te avaied during CCL.
CCL should not ordnariy be granted dunng the probation period excep! in case of certain extreme
situations where the leave sancticning authority is fully satisted about the need of Child Care Leave to
tho probationer. It may also be ensured that the period for which this leave is sanctioned during
probation is minimal
