INSTRUCTIONS & CONSIDERATIONS FOR YOUR COMPOSITION AND SPEECH

1. Select a topic and write an essay about it.


2. You may write an essay to argue for a particular point of view or to explain the steps necessary to complete a task.

3. You have to compose in class, so PLEASE use a dictionary or ask for one at the library.
4. Look for information to support your ideas.
5. You have to use transition words (moreover, as a result, etc.) and linkers of contrast (however, although, despite)
6. The essay MUST have 5 paragraphs.
7. Each paragraph MUST contain 6-8 lines (A4 paper format).
