For this activity, you will post and share materials on a wiki site. Your teacher will provide
you a wiki site where you will collaborate with your classmates to create a full wiki page.
For illustration, http://myictclass2016.wikispaces.com will be used.
Step 1: Go to the class wiki website which your teacher will provide you. You will be asked
to sign in or join the class wiki with your email address and join code.
Step 3: Type in the content in the document box and click on the “Save” tab.
Step 4: Aside from text, you may also add a “link”, “file”, “widget” and “table”. Try clicking
on the tabs to add more content.
There are so many sites that offer free blogs for education. For this activity, you will
experience posting materials on a blog. It is not necessary for you to create your own blog
yet. However, for advance users, you may create your own blogsite with the approval of
your teacher. For illustration purposes, https://ictteacher2016.edublogs.org blogsite will
be used.
Step 1: Go to the blogsite that your teacher has created. Register using the invite code
your teacher will give you.
Step 2: Write an article by clicking on “Posts” then “Add New”.
Step 3: Add a title and the contents of your post. When you’re done typing, click on “Submit
for Review.”
Try adding a picture by clicking on “Add Media”.
Observe how your fellow learners work on the activities. Check if they are observing the
safety and responsible practices in using the different online tools.
CHALLENGE:
A. Create a WIKI that informs target buyers of the product you are selling. Include
in the wiki the important information about your product, health benefits and
the reason why your product must be patronized. Do not forget to include
pictures of the product.
B. Post a BLOG explaining the benefits or advantages that patrons will get using
your products.
C. Show to the class the process of creating your wiki and blog to promote your
product.
