FIANZA, Medorelle G.

My name is Medorelle Fianza, 18 years old. I was born and raised in Kibungan, also known as
The Rocky Wall of Beauties located in Benguet. I live with my parents and I have three siblings. I have a
sister, an older brother and a younger brother and recently had a niece. I consider myself lucky for
having a close-knit and supportive family. Though there are obviously ups and downs, at least we can
maintain the bond between us.I am an ambivert type of person. This best explains why I have various
and contradicting interests. As much as I love outdoor recreations, I could just stay at home and won’t
go out to socialize. Growing in the mountains, I’ve build up interest in hiking, trekking and
mountaineering since it’s what I kind of adapted. Besides that, I also like sports and traveling. I’m also
interested in trying extreme and thrilling outdoor recreations if I have the capability to do so. As I
mentioned earlier, I could just stay at home and enjoy my me time like listening and vibe with music
alone. I am not socialite person. I just go out when I’m with my friends or family. I can also say that I
really can’t communicate effectively among people who are not in my circle. But I do try to talk and
respond to other people to get along with the society these days. For my education, I studied for six
years and eventually graduated at Kibungan Central School for my primary education. For the next four
years, I studied and completed my junior high years at Kibungan National High School. I then transferred
to Cordillera Career Development College ( CCDC ) for senior high school since my previous school does
not offer my preferred strand which is Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM). To pursue an
accounting degree, I enrolled in the same school and for which I am now a freshman with a course of
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.

With today’s challenge in education, I can say that I am in a disadvantageous spot. I can’t learn
that much on modules and online meetings. I’m the kind of person who learns better while imagining or
remembering the scene like when a teacher is discussing a certain topic in the classroom. Because of the
pandemic, I realized that the classroom setting helps me more focused and motivated to absorb
knowledge which the home setting for me, couldn’t offer. Also, I find it a little worrisome when I
interpret and comprehend certain statements differently. Which is why I have to inquire some
classmates before proceeding. Fortunately though, I am getting used to this new kind of learning. As for
my current course, I’m not sure nor at least confident to take it. My senior high school which should
serve as my preparation didn’t reach it’s purpose for me. Well obviously, it’s affected by this pandemic.
The foundation like journalizing and balancing accounts can’t be really taught since its better if taught
face to face. My classmates and other batch mates from other schools also think the same. The common
notion is that we took accountancy without knowing how to correctly balance accounts but we are up
for the challenge. I’m not sure on this course because I don’t know if it’s what I really want. This is the
problem of me being an indecisive individual. However, I just hope all the best for me.
