INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DIGEST

1. Digest all the cases in the syllabus and all other cases that was assigned
and/or added after the syllabus was given.

2. The digest should be written in a yellow paper. Observe margins in


writing the digest. At least one inch each side.

3. The digest must be contained in a single page. If not possible at least two
pages for cases that are long. Use black or blue ink pen.

4. Make sure that your handwritten is legible and readable. Avoid erasures
or using correction tape.

5. The digest must be submitted on the day of your midterm and final
examinations. As for the coverage, all the cases covered in the midterms
must be submitted during the midterm examinations. The remaining
cases in the syllabus, whether covered or not, should be submitted
during the final examinations. Submit the same to the proctor.

6. Use the following format in writing your digest.

7. You have freedom in formulating the facts and the issue/s of the case.
However, it is very important that the issue/s must correlate to the topic
where the case was assigned. When it comes to the ruling just copy what
was written in the decision, in toto. Just make sure to include only the
important parts of the decision that will sufficiently answer the issue/s
presented.
8. The digest is equivalent to 20% of your grade. Without it, failure of this
subject is guaranteed.

9. As a reward for those who will be honest in their digest, I will write off at
least two of the unwarranted grades that you incur in your recitation.
