ACTIVITY 1

What are your expectations toward this subject?

In this subject, I expect to learn and widen my knowledge about the topics and
have a fun and engaging learning experience. Being titled "Understanding the Self," I
hope that this subject will help me understand myself more and will be able to develop
my identity. Lastly, I genuinely expect that at the end of the course of this subject, I will
be able to become a better version of myself through the learning experiences of how to
manage oneself.

Given the situation we are in (CoVid-19), how do you manage to study?

Managing time and energy is hard, and it is much more complicated today
because of the difficulties produced by the pandemic. I manage my studies today by
creating a work/activity plan and setting my time in the most comfortable way possible.
On the other hand, I do not work my academics the whole time around; instead, I do
recreational activities to lessen the distress in my mind so that I will be more productive
in doing academics. Also, I do my work one thing at a time and eliminate the
distractions around to use time effectively. Lastly, I study indoors, at home specifically,
to ensure that I will not be able to meet many people, given the situation we are in
today.

What are your expectations of your teacher?

I do expect my teacher to be a teacher. To be a teacher, they need to be skilled

to provide various learning opportunities for all types of students. They need to show
diligence and dedication to their work by providing engaging activities that promote
quality learning for students. They need to offer flexibility and attention to their students,
especially those who need assistance in academics. Lastly, to be a teacher, they need
to be a friend who shows compassion and kindness; and discipline those who need to
be corrected.
What are your expectations toward this virtual learning?

I do expect that this virtual learning will be a fun and engaging experience. I hope
that the system will be exceptional and will be fast-acting in solving connectivity issues. I
expect to have a more flexible schedule and set due dates in a desirable time for us to
be able to manage our workload and deadlines. Lastly, I expect to feel connected to my
class even if we are not in a face-to-face session.

How do you cope up with the "New Normal"?

Due to the rise of the Covid-19 pandemic, everything around us changes. Instead
of escaping the change, we must become proactive and be a part of the change.
Personally, coping with the new normal is challenging because of the new set of things
we need to learn and understand. For me, in adjusting to the new normal, I must accept
the reality. Without accepting our present situation, we will continue to struggle and will
not move forward. Also, re-evaluating my priorities and expectations will help me reflect
on what I can do and what I cannot do in the present time. Moreover, I must not only
look on to my situation but also become sensitive to other people because adjusting to
the present is not the same for all of us. Lastly, we must keep in mind that the current
situation is both unpredictable and temporary. Being unstable is alright; however, we
need to seek help and support those who know us well.
