Dear Ladies Everywhere,

The Prince is holding a ball to find his bride. The ball will commence in seven days and will last
for three days. We are requesting every lady in the kingdom to attend.

The Prince’s Journal

Prince Journal Entry: Day 1

I am holding a ball to see who I should marry. It will last three days. I hope to find someone

to love! I know she's going to be good at dancing then we are gonna kiss at midnight. We will have

gourmet food and we will dance until dawn. After the tenth day, even though the ball lasts three days,

we will marry. She will ride in our carriage, we will buy the most beautiful dresses and pearls. We

will have so much fun. I’ll update later!

Fall November 6th 1875: Day 2

The ball is in four days. I'm so nervous and excited all at the same time. This is getting

confusing, I wonder if anyone will like me, perhaps love me. Nobody says hi to me in the village, I think

it is because all the kids are inside. Everyone always bows at me and I tell them to stop but they keep

doing it. Can't they stop once in a while? Maybe if I dress up as someone else and go out they will

treat me differently. One second, I’m gonna try that. After a while, it worked! Everyone acted normal,

normal life is AWESOME . They gave me food cause they thought I was new and it was amazing.

They liked my clothes and it was sooo much fun, so I'll report to you soon!
Fall November 6th 1875: Day 3

I met a beautiful maiden, but she keeps running away! Why does she have to leave at midnight

or other times? Why does she keep doing this? Why can’t it be peaceful? Why, just why? I know I

will see her tomorrow. I'll write in here tomorrow. She will love me I know!

Fall November 7th 1875: Day 4

I saw her at the end of the day, she chucked one of her shoes at me. I am hunting her down.

Whomever’s foot fits the shoe she threw at me will be my wife!

Fall November 8th 1875: Day 5

The Weirdest thing happened to me today. I met three women. One had cut off her toe and

these birds sang that there was blood within the shoe. I looked and there was! The other one had cut

off her heel and the birds sang again. The shoe was covered in blood! I went back and there was a

cinderwench, she tried the shoe on and it fit! I screamed, “THIS IS THE TRUE BRIDE !” Then

we rode away!

Fall November 18th 1875: Day 6

We got married but 2 birds pecked out her sisters’ eyes as punishment for being cruel to

Cinderella! I Feel badly for them! Life from here might get busy with my new wife and all, so I may

not be able to write for a while.

Younger Step-Sister’s Diary

Younger Stepsister Diary Entry: Day 1

Why does Cinderella have to always pick on ME? Why doesn't she go bother someone else? I can’t BELIVE
what she did today! She PURPOSLY spilled tea on my FAVORITE dress! Mother says i’m over reacting! I thought she
was on my side… well mother just got a letter from the mail. I’ll be writing a lot more later.
Later:
A ball! I’m invited to a BALL! I’m so exited! I hope that horrid Cinderella doesn’t come…
She is so spoiled. She stole my favorite pearl necklace! I HAVE to tell mother.
Good thing my step-father went shopping with us, so I got a new one. I’m so glad.
Younger Stepsister Diary Entry: Day 2
My annoying sister, stole my diary, and showed it to our mother! UGH that horrid girl.
The ball is soon. At least i have other things to think about… I need to find my prettiest dress.

Younger Stepsister Diary Entry: Day 3

(The day of the ball). It’s a BIG day! I’m ready for anything that may go wrong. I’m about to walk
through the doors of the ballroom in a bit. I wonder what will happen next?

Older Step-Sister’s Interview

(Older step sister interview, after the ball)
“You are Cinderella’s stepsister, right?”
“Oh yes, but why am I here, again?”, says the older step-sister.
“You were being accused of treating Cinderella like…what was it again? Oh yes. A maid.”, states the journalist.
“What? No way! That is cruel! I would never do such a thing!
“What really happened, then?”
“WELL, I was just minding my own business, when my mother remarried!
It was out of the blue! Unexpected! I hated it. Mostly because that horrid- I mean unpleasant
CINDERELLA came into my life. She was rude to us, she treated US as maids! Horrible! Simply
horrendous! She stole all our jewelry for the ball. Then, she got a gorgeous dress, she was so pretty, I
had no idea it was her! I’m not sure where she got the dress, but she might have gotten it from my
younger sister. I had no idea she had a dress so pretty though…well, I didn't know where she got it.
That's that. Anyway , I don't know how you got the idea that we treated her badly, well like a maid.
That’s all I have to say!”

Cinderella: (reading what her father wrote to her)

 First note February
16, 1850
Cinderella ,
If you’re reading this, I want you to know that if I could, I would get rid of your step-mother, she’s so creepy and
scary. Poor Cinderella, I’m sorry you’ve been treated like a maid.
If only she could have a happy and restful life…I need to get rid of her. She is ruining my life and not only mine but yours
too. Your step-mom’s daughters are so spoiled and they blame you for “stealing” their things, I mean seriously!?!?
Cinderella, if you want to meet me at your mother’s grave , I will take you to the prince.If you are running away
from the prince because of your mean-spoiled step-mom you won’t have to run any longer.

2nd note February 17, 1850

Dear Cinderella,
If you are reading this, I am very sorry about how your step-mother & step- sisters are treating you..I
hope you are not taking this to your heart. Your mean-spoiled step-mom is spying on me. I will try all I can to
get you to the ball. I wish you good luck on these close days. I am trying to protect you.
I hope you will be a successful and happy woman.

The Next Day February 18, 1850

Dear Cinderella,
I got the permission to get you to the ball. Your step-mother said you can go only if you
don’t wear something too impressive, but don’t worry about that, I'll buy you a little something.
About the ball, the prince wants to meet you and get to know you. You will be there at 8:30pm.
