Dark Corridor

By Julie Marie B. Balabat

I was walking in silence

As I looked straight,

It was a dark long narrow passage

Where no one is beside me

I tooked another step

My vision is dark as a shadow,

My mind also darkened

I wanted to scream n this dark and lonely corridor

My feet felt numb as I continue walking

This dark, silent and lonely corridor brings shiver to my spine,

I feel scared, thinking that no one sees me nor hear me

I hear small voices and crashing sounds in the wall

I continue walking and walking as my feet bleed

A warm air flew over my ears,

A warm hand touches my shoulder

And then he whispered to my ears, “My child, I came to rescue you.”
