LEARNING PAPER ON DIGITAL TOOLS

As being defined by the TEAM E presenters, Digital Tools are programs,

websites, or online resources that can make our tasks easier to complete. A lot of
these can be accessed in web browsers without needing to be downloaded, and
you can access them both at home and work. Digital Tools are not limited only to
the technologies and equipment like Personal Computers or PC, Laptops,
Android phones, tablets, etc. but also include programs, application software,
websites, and other online resources that can make our work easier to
accomplish. Given the fact that we are almost 2 years since we experience this
pandemic in which almost everything has drastically changed and affected. Due
to hard lockdowns and strict implementations of IATF guidelines plus the halt of
face-to-face instructions in schools as mandated by DepEd. These Digitals tools
are very helpful in continuing the learning process for the students remotely.

There are lots of accessible Digital tools develop nowadays which we can
use and are very helpful in continuing the education, especially in the teaching
and learning process. The websites, application software and platforms being
presented by the reporters are the most commonly used by teachers and
educators nowadays. For visual presentations that can be used as our
instructional materials, we have PowerPoint, Prezi, and Canva. These are very
helpful in engaging our learners and addressing their multiple intelligences and
different way of learning styles by having pictures, videos, and meaningful
activities in our presentation. This way we can help develop their metacognitive
skills. Further, Kahoot, Quizlet, and Menti are also helpful to engage our
students’ interaction. We can use Menti to interact with them virtually by getting
their perspective or opinion. While Quizlet is an interactive and educational game
that develops Independent learning among learners. Moreover, The TedEd is a
website containing educational videos for learners. Lastly, Google Meet and
Zoom are video-conferencing applications that we can use to have an Online
Virtual class with our learners. Both are user-friendly and easy to navigate. This
way we can give instructions, highlight important information, and conduct
classes online.

Even if we are still facing the pandemic today but these could not hamper
the learning of the students. As we mostly reiterate that “Education never stops”.
Therefore, as an educator, we should not also stop in teaching and engaging and
our learners. With the use of these Digital Tools, everything is possible.

The bottomline of this is that we should use this digital tools

appropriately. We should explore more how to use these tools and incorporate it
into our class so that we can achieved meaningful results. Lastly, we should also
teach and emphasize to the learners the proper etiquette or we call it netiquette
so that learners may have blah blah blah
