between the two ranks. The vertical axis is the scope of damage labeled as
IMPACT and the horizontal axis is how hard it is to solve labeled as
FEASIBILITY.

(With 5 being the most impactful or with the most damage and hardest to solve)

PAIN POINTS A B
Retention of Talented Workforce 5 5
Food Scarcity 2 2
Budget Shortage 3 4
Economic and Social Disruption 4 3
Limited Resources 1 1

The data above were all based from both reliable sources and personal
experience. Tackling the scope of damage first, it is without doubt that the
retention of talented workforce gives off the most damage since it is very relevant
at this point for a country to have the most talented workforce in the field of
medicine. Healthcare professionals are now under great pressure whilst facing
mortal threats under the eyes of depreciative people, thus leaving them nothing but
fatigue that many even “’left the battle’. It is therefore ranked as the most
dangerous pain point since if this continued, there is no way for the whole
community to heal. Then, there will be no end for the pandemic, the cycle will just
continue for loops. Healthcare workers were undervalued, thousands of nurses
were flying abroad before, even more than now that they were still under
appreciated even if they are facing death every day. This is for me one of the
scariest yet disturbing pain point in this discussion. Thus, ranking first as well as
the hardest to solve since once a trust and hope is broken, there is no way for it to
just go back to the way it was again, ever.
Next is economic and social disruption. The relationship of the government
to its people is cloudy and not as good even before the pandemic but now it is even
more disturbing. More and more, trust was broken, resulting to disruption in
management, affecting the implementation of economic rules whilst creating a
larger social deviance. It also comes third in solving it, just about on par with the
shortage of budget.
Third on the damage and second on being the hardest to solve is budget
shortage. Even before, especially the Philippines, countries, majority third-world
countries, were having a hard time on handling and/or having budgets or funds to
attend to the needs of the nation. When the pandemic hit, it got worse. There are
more ‘missing’ funds now and growing debts. This financial crisis amidst the
pandemic causes a lot of stir and hate. People were very mad about it. They are
starving! That’s why it is also the second one on being hard to deal with. The
reason is clear –money don’t grow on trees!
Fourth on both A and B is food scarcity. There were even news on the crisis
of food. Some were wasted, some got damaged because of natural reasons, and
some are too expensive to import. Thus, resulting to food scarcity that affects the
people especially those that are on the edge of living in the society. Those that are
less-privileged, the unfortunate ones suffering from both corruption and poverty.
Lastly, fifth on both A and B is the pain point concerning limited resources.
This is understandable knowing that it got harder to import/export necessities
because of strict implementations of the lockdown and social distancing. Also,
affecting every Filipinos, even every man there is.

Talented workforce affects the general
Workforce masses as it will not only

Food Scarcity Mass Food is a common necessity
for the general masses, and
whenever a dilemma happens
about it, everyone is and will
always be affected.
Budget Mass Budget allocation is for the

shortage concerns the general
masses as well.
Economic and Mass Economic and social status in

without doubt that the pain

the whole community as well.
