SUMMARY ABOUT MY BUSINESS:

❖I am going to open a cattle farm.

❖I know I’m from Hotel management background
even though I interested to make a cattle farm and
also I love this types of cattle’s .
❖Because in this world we cannot survive without
food.
❖By maintaining this we have some food like meat
and milk.
❖I will start this business after my graduation.
❖Already I have my own farming land for this
business.
❖After that I have to invest 5 – 6 lakhs to buy cattle’s
and build the byre for cattle.
❖And also I provide feed for those cattle’s .
❖And I had more experience in this cattle farming
during my childhood day itself.

3
❖And most I am from village background and my
family members also teach me when any issues is
happening.

INTRODUCTION:
➢ Since the time immemorial, animals have been
an integral part of our food. They have been
used to obtain food like milk, eggs, meat, etc.
➢ Other than the food, we use them even for some
basic requirements like wool, silk, labour, etc.
➢ The population has reached its peak especially
in a country like India.
➢ The population explosion has led to greater
demand for basic requirements such as food,
shelter, clothing, etc.
➢ To meet the increasing requirements and
demands we need to apply a greater effort.
➢ One of such efforts to meet the food demand is
animal husbandry.
➢ Animal husbandry includes cattle farming,
poultry farming, fisheries, apiculture, etc.
➢ Here we will learn about cattle farming.

4
ABOUT THE PROMOTOR:
✓ Cattle producers use to increase growth rate and
improve overall efficiency and product quality of
the cattle.
✓ Growth promoters are widely used in both
grazing industry and the intensive feedlot
industry for the cattle.

5
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
• The project is all about the animal husbandry.
• In this project I explained about the farming and
maintaining the cattle farm.

ABOUT THE LOCATION:

• For this Farm I have chosen cultivation land in
the village background.
• Because this environment is more suitable for
built a farm and even maintain too.
• And also the cattle want this type of
environment .

6
LAND AND BUILDING:

o I already had my own land and also water

facilities too.
o On this land I have to built a barn for the cattle.
o The barn is about the place of 20 cow can stay
in one barn that much I have to built.
o For this I will build 2 barn for my Farm.

PLANT AND MACHINERIES

For this I don’t want that much plants and machineries.
And some vehicle to carry the feed and waste.

7
MISCELLANEOUS ASSETS:

For this I want another land for the feed for the cattle
like grass, corn etc.

PRODUCTION PROCESS:
• Animals are raised for a wide variety of products,
principally meat, wool, milk, and eggs, but also
including tallow, isinglass and rennet.
• Animals are also kept for more specialised purposes,
such as to
produce vaccines and antiserum (containing antibo
dies) for medical use Where fodder or other crops
are grown alongside animals, manure can serve as a

8
fertiliser, returning minerals and organic matter to
the soil in a semi-closed organic system
• Although all mammals produce milk to nourish
their young, the cow is predominantly used
throughout the world to produce milk and milk
products for human consumption.
• All these animals have been domesticated over the
centuries, being bred for such desirable
characteristics as fecundity, productivity, docility
and the ability to thrive under the prevailing
conditions. Whereas in the past, cattle had multiple
functions, modern dairy cow breeding has resulted
in specialised Holstein Friesian-type animals that
produce large quantities of milk economically.
• In many communities, milk production is only part
of the purpose of keeping an animal which may also
be used as a beast of burden or to draw a plough, or
for the production of fibre, meat and leather, with
the dung being used for fuel or for the
improvement of soil fertility.

9
• Meat, mainly from farmed animals, is a major
source of dietary protein around the world,
averaging about 8% of man's energy intake.
• The actual types eaten depend on local preferences,
availability, cost and other factors, with cattle
• . Cattle generally produce a single offspring
annually which takes more than a year to mature.
• Some desirable traits of animals raised for meat
include fecundity, hardiness, fast growth rate, ease
of management and high food conversion efficiency.
About half of the world's meat is produced from
animals grazing on open ranges or on enclosed
pastures, the other half being produced intensively
in various factory-farming systems; these are mostly
cows, pigs or poultry, and often reared indoors,
typically at high densities
