ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We have great pleasure and sense of satisfaction in presenting this micro-

project report on “HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” as part of the
curriculum of Diploma in Computer Engineering. Being novice in the field of
designing and structuring in this micro-project, it could have been extremely
difficult for us to complete this micro project on our own. We are very fortunate
to be guided by people with vast and resourceful experience in their respective
field of work.
We express my sincere gratitude to our guide M.S.Narudkar for her
timely guidance, support and suggestions. We are also thankful for her sincere
help and for making us available all the facilities of the department. Without her
efforts and constant monitoring the micro-project and documentation would not
have been duly completed. Also, we express our sincere thanks to Mrs.
J.R.Hange (HOD Computer Department), besides, we take this opportunity to
express our sincere gratitude to the Principal Dr. S. R. Kerkal, G. P. Awsari for
providing a good environment and facilities to complete this micro-project. We
would also like to thank all my colleagues who have directly or indirectly
guided and helped us in the preparation of this micro project.

Micro-Project Report
HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

1.0 Rational
In the modern world of Information Technology, the Software
Engineering has become the most preferred approach for software development.
It solves the real world problems. We created a micro-project on Design UML
diagrams for Online Hospital Management System successfully using the
concepts of software.

2.0 Aim of This Project

• Prepare report on design UML diagrams for Hospital Management
System
• Due to this project we can easily understand UML diagram of Hospital
Management System.

3.0 Proposed Methodology

First of all, we have to select topic report for UML diagram of hospital
management system. . The teacher will ask the student to prepare, develop a
report on UML diagram of online booking system.
We collect the information about the topic such as internet and
books. Then we have to do to teacher about UML diagram of online booking
system. on which we are going to prepare micro project report.
After the setup of part-A prepared the report about the UML
diagram of inline booking system. . After doing all the typing we arranged
the all data in proper arrangement. We select proper arrangement font, layout
etc. At last we got Principle outcomes of the micro project Part-A and
submitted it to the Subject teacher
4.0 Course Outcomes Addressed
a) Select suitable software process model for software development.
b) Prepare software requirement specification.
c) Apply project management and quality assurance principles in software
development.

HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

1.0 Rationale:
In the modern world of Information Technology, the Software
Engineering has become the most preferred approach for software
development. It solves the real world problems. We created a micro-
project on Design UML diagrams For Hospital Management System
successfully using the concepts of software

2.0 Aims/Benefits of the Micro-Project :

The micro project on Design UML diagrams For Hospital Management
System. This system provides various operations like withdraw money,
balance enquire, manage accounts. This project is developed using
important concept of software engineering that is software requirement
specification.

3.0 Course Outcomes Addressed:

a) Select suitable software process model for software development.

b) Prepare software requirement specification.
c) Apply project management and quality assurance principles in software
development.

4.0 Literature Review:

This system is technically feasible, because the system activated by
computer and recent technology.
After that we also searched on online for our project. We referred some
Google, YouTube, etc. On that sites there are so many concepts which are
described in easy language so we took some knowledge from that sites. After that
we saw some tutorials on YouTube so our concepts can be clear more perfectly.
5.0 Actual Methodology Followed:
First of all, we have to select topic report for Design UML diagrams
For Hospital Management System. The teacher will ask the student to prepare,
develop a report on Hotel Management System.
We collect the information about the topic such as internet and
books. Then we have to do to teacher about Design UML diagrams For Hospital
Management System on which we are going to prepare micro project report.
After the setup of part-A prepared the report about the Design UML
diagrams for Hospital Management System .After doing all the typing we
arranged the all data in proper arrangement. We select proper arrangement font,
layout etc. At last we got Principle outcomes of the micro project Part-A and
submitted it to the Subject teacher.

7.0 Outputs of the Micro-Projects:

We learn how to prepare the report on Hospital Management System

Hospital Management System

1. ER Diagram – Hospital Management System

This ER(Entity Relationship) Diagram represents the model of Hospital

Management system Entity. The entity-relationship diagram of Hospital
Management System shows all the visual instrument of database tables and the
relations between Patient, Nurses, Hospitals, Medicines etc. It used structure
data and to define the relationships between structured data groups of Hospital
Management System functionalities. The main entities of the Hospital
Management System are Hospitals, Patient, Doctors, Nurses, Appointments and
Medicines.

Hospital Management System entities and their attributes:

• Hospitals Entity: attributes of Hospitals are hospital_id,

hospital_doctor_id, hospital_name, hospital_place, hospital_type,
hospital_description, hospital_address.

• Patient Entity:Attributes of Patient are patient_id, patient_name,

patient_mobile, patient_email, patient_username, patient_password,
patient_address, patient_blood_group.

• Doctors Entity:Attributes of Doctor are doctor_id, doctor_name,

doctor_mobile, doctor_email, doctor_password, doctor_username.

• Nurses Entity: Attributes of Nurses are nurse_id, nurse_name,

nurse_username, nurse_password, nurse_mobile, nurse_address.

• Appointment Entity: Attributes of Appointment are appointment_id,

appointment_doctor_name, appointment_date, appointment_no.

• Medicines Entity: Attributes of Medicines are medicine_id,

medicine_name, medicine_description, medicine_cost.

2. Use-case Diagram – Hospital Management System

This Use Case Diagram is a graphic depiction of the interactions among the
elements of Hospital Management System. It represents the methodology used
in system analysis to identify, clarify, and organize system requirements of
Hospital Management System. The main actors of Hospital Management
System in this Use-Case Diagram are: patient registration, patient admission,
medical reports, bed allotment and full Hospital Management System

3. Data Flow Diagram – Hospital Management System

A data flow diagram is a graphical view of how data is processed in a system in

terms of input and output. The Data flow diagram (DFD) contains some symbol
for drawing the data flow diagram.

Data flow diagram symbols:

Symbol Description

Data Flow – Data flow are pipelines through the packets of

information flow.

Process : A Process or task performed by the system.

Entity : Entity are object of the system. A source

or destination data of a system.

Data Store : A place where data to be stored.
