Preface

This report documents the work done during the summer internship at 360 Event Organizers

under the supervision of Mr. Murad Naqvi. It resulted as an excellent opportunity for me, as I

learnt the transformation of theoretical concepts into practical form.

The report first will give an overview of the tasks completed during the period of internship

Report will also elaborate on the future works which can be persuaded as an advancement of the

current work. I have tried my best to keep report simple yet technically correct. I hope I succeed

in my attempt.

At the very beginning, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Almighty Allah,

who has given me the strength to complete my internship program in a very comfortable

manner. Foremost I would like to express my deep gratitude to 360 Event Organizers, for

providing me this opportunity to work as an internee in the Graphic Design Department and

helping me a lot in developing the professional skills within myself and providing me

guidance throughout this period and opportunity to move ahead with internship objectives.

Prior to working with 360 Event Organizers, I was a full time student therefore it was quite

challenging for me to transform all the theoretical knowledge I have about designing into

practice. Furthermore, I would like to extend my gratitude to my fellow senior team members

and the Co-Founder for their continuous support, guidance and directions throughout the

internship period.

Executive summary

I have recently completed my internship from 360 event Organizers, there I was given an

opportunity to exhibit my expertise in the creative department as a graphic designer. The

administration, dedication of employees and their strategy of working is brilliant.

The report gives a brief description of my experience in 360 event Organizers.

This report contains all the details about what I learnt during my internship period. It also

includes the infrastructure of the organization. I hope this report will provide a complete review

of organization and its standards and values. The purpose of doing this internship was to

practically apply the things, which I have learned in my academic years during BMS (Flim and

TV).

INTRODUCTION

1.1: Overview

360 Event Organizers was Co-founded and established in June 2013 by its CEO Mr. Murad

Naqvi. It’s an event management organization that deals with all types of events from

weddings, parties, corporate events and much more. And it also offers wide range of services

including, Portfolio shoots, Extensive Equipment and gadgets on rentals, outdoor commercial

shoots, Event photography and cinematography, Product shoots from its highly skilled and

competent team They use their expertise to create powerful impressions in all of their

endeavors, by creating a long lasting impression in the people eyes. They provide different

services, following an easy and efficient 3 tier system, to maximize productivity and results.

1.2: Objectives

Our main objective is to design the events in a unique way within the client budget and

maintaining a consistent, high level of service. And by working honestly and ethically with our

employees, clients and suppliers to exceed their expectations.

1.3: Vision

To create a strong word of mouth about the brand and a very fascinating image In this highly
dynamic and competitive environment of media.

1.4: Mission

Our goal is to make sure that our clients give us all their worries of their event and all they have

to do is enjoy. Our specialized teams of their own field work in accordance to make the event

alive.

2.1: My Department

I worked as an internee in Graphic Design Department; this department is designed for handling

the workload related to the design of different events, wedding, parties, corporate events,

opening ceremonies etc.

The department handles the process of creating quality design that can be used for marketing and

branding of any product or brand. It is also responsible for delivering the excellent campaign of

different products that can be used further in graphics to market that product. This department

also works on editing the pictures that are clicked for different clients, editing includes color

correcting, changing formats, applying effects etc. It is also involved in giving suggestions and

ideas for the print ads of different products.

2.2: Details of Learning:

As I was an internee in Graphic Department, so the things that I learned are as follows. I focused

and learnt all these topics in detail:

 Designing

 Social media

 Editing

 Copy writing

Designing:

I learned new techniques of creating design. It learnt in detail about software settings. I learnt

how to make design in different type of size. I learned how to do different design such as header

print social etc.

Social Media:

Social media was not a part of my department but I learnt man things regarding social media. I

was given a brief class on how social media is use for to capture market. I got to know that about

how to use social media and about the paid ad that are necessary for doing social marketing.

Editing:

I was taught about new editing software that can be used to edit pictures professionally. I learnt

new and short ways of editing a picture, which included color correction, changing the format,

applying effects and much more.

Copy writing:

I got to see and learn about different type of copywriting and content writing too.

2.3: Reflective Journal (Weekly Entry)

The reflective Journal contains all the details regarding my duties, responsibilities, workload and

important things that I handled during my internship duration. The reflective journal is divided

into 6 parts. First part discusses 1 st week of my internship and cycle continues. I have mentioned

all the workload, activities and tasks that I handled in every week. As the weeks passed by, my

workload was increased. In initial weeks of my internship, I was given easy and quick tasks to

handle. But as time passed, I was asked to work on new and lengthy tasks.

2.4: 1st Week (Design Perspective)

I was asked to study how to handle a Design. I was given a session in which I was taught how to

create design creatively. In my first week, my work was only to learn that design should be

creative while making in limited size. My first week went practicing on how to create design

creatively with perfect balance.

2.5: 2nd Week (Social Media)

My second week was all about learning and memorizing social media campaign. There are a lot

of detailed and trick; out of which I only aware of basic ones, which were not enough to for

professional social media marketer. So, I was taught that what planning are going to work to

attract market.

2.6: 3rd Week (Adjustment)

When I learnt all about creative design they also teach me how to adjust design in limited space

or time creatively

2.7: 4th Week (Editing)

After learning how to conduct a professional design, then learned how to edit captured pictures.

In my forth week, I learned to do color correction, changing formats, applying effects, changing

size.

2.8: 5th Week (Copywriting)

After learning how to edit pictures and giving them a professional touch, I was taught how to use

the captured pictures for print media. I learnt how to create prints ads, billboards, magazines ads

and press ads by using the clicked pictures

2.9: 6th Week (Basics of Advertising)

In my last week, I leant basics about marketing and branding of product. I learnt basics rules and

terms that can guarantee good marketing and sales.

Futuristic Approach

I worked as an internee in 360 event organizers .The duration of my internship was 6 weeks. I

worked as an internee from June 01, 2017 to July 10, 2017. My work hours were from 9 am to 6

pm. I worked under the Manager, who taught me about communicating, marketing, and

designing being done at 360 event organizer. I learnt new skills and the procedures that are

necessary to work in and event organization.

Umair Ahmad (Creative Head)

All the officers under whose supervision I worked helped me and guided me. They taught me

about how to be creative and involved me in the projects on which they were working on. They

shared their past experiences and explained me a lot about the event handling and designing.

They also offered me the job for the same designation but I refused because I haven’t completed

my bachelors yet and it was quite difficult for me to manage the studies along with the job. In the

end of the internship, I was rewarded with an ‘Internship Completion Certificate’ after

submission of my internship report.

3.1: Job Description

I was a graphic designer there so my work was divided into parts. First I need to cooperate with

the clients along with my head so that I can fully understand the needs and conditions and what

type of outcome they actually want.

I made posters and made face book ads according to seasons and deal with clients on face book

most of time whenever I edited pictures of client they were always confuse that what they want I

always listen to my client and provide my best to them. My work basically comprises on

software’s there (Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator).

My responsibility is to edit the pictures of the events, design face book posts, posters, during

every season I have to make different post banners for 360 event organizers and overseeing the

content and layout of each design. Jobs require painstaking exertion of intense care and effort,

alertness and dedication to the task and wary watchfulness. They have to make extremely fine

distinctions while editing and other work.

3.2: Work Sample

Issues related to internship

4.1: Unavailability of network

Most of the time it happened that there was no availability of internet connection. When i was

asked to complete the task by my supervisor, i mostly end up completing late due to no or weak

internet connection. I had to send design to manger to get his approval, but due to weak internet

connection it was not possible. A little of my work was affected by this issue of disturbed

internet connection.

I was working as an internee there, due to which I was unable to complain about this thing. But

to solve this issue I talked to the manger and make him understand that it is impossible for me to

do search good pictures for idea without any proper internet connection, I also let him know

about the disturbance that occurred few times in my work, due to weak connection.

It was first internship of mine so I had to look a lot of problems regarding work, environment,

management, timing etc. At the start of internship the major issue I had to face is to adjust in

professional environment and to learn how to deal with management professionally.

4.2: Lack of Equipment

There was a lack of machinery for interns like computer, mouse or keyboards etc. All the

equipment was under the permanent employees to work on them. The permanent employees at

the organization were given proper equipment, machinery and furniture.

Experience and Conclusion

Overall my internship experience was great. The organization has a superb work culture, great

minds and very high quality of work. I learned a lot about the marketing department (from

pulling off an event, designing to managing work load). Some of time I faced difficulties but I

cope up with them. I had an amazing team who were guiding me throughout the journey. As, a

part of this team I have gained significant experience in my respective field which have helped

me develop my professional skills and work within a certain pressure. This has led me enhance

my practical exposure and creativity. I wish to further work within the team of 360 event

organizers as it helped me establishing my profile and contacts. Since this organization is on its

initial level therefore I hope to see this organization grow more in the near future.
