Standard (PNS 113:2005) Draft Amendment 1:2007 – Specification for low carbon steel
wires – plain/annealed/zinc coated (1 page, in English)

6. Description of content: This notification is the first amendment to PNS 113:2005 that
specifies the requirements for low carbon steel wires for application as (1) plain wire, (2)
annealed wire, and (3) zinc-coated/galvanized wire and not intended for structural
applications.
The amendment specifies changes/modifications made in Tables 1 and 9 of PNS 113:2005
that refers to the types and manufacturing methods of wires; and the mass of zinc coating
and diameter of mandrel used for winding test.

7. Objective and rationale, including the nature of urgent problems where applicable:
For consumer protection and safety.
