Vide Office order no. 27/2021 dated 26.03.2021, circulated vide letter No: 2020/CORP- HR/S/16/Med/COVID-19-Corp Office dt. 26.03.2021, it was notified that cost of Covid19 vaccination of 45+ employees of all categories (regular, deputationist, re-employed, contractual and outsourced) and their dependent family members will be reimbursed. In view of recent relaxation of age limit for eligibility for vaccination to 18+ persons by Government, it has now been decided to extend the scheme of re-imbursement to all such 18+ employees and their dependent family members. In view of the countrywide surging second wave of the pandemic adversely affecting offices and project sites, PIUs are also advised to tie up with local government / private hospitals to rapidly vaccinate all above categories of employees and families and cost of such vaccination will be bome by RVNL on re-imbursement basis or by direct payment to hospitals. In order to scale up vaccination of employees rapidly, vaccination camps may also be organized in office premises / project sites in coordination with State authorities / Government, railway or private hospitals. All administrative / medical / logistic charges for such camps charged by State / Railway / Hospital authorities and cost of vaccines administered to above categories of RVNL employees and families will be borne by RVNL. PIUs may also persuade PMC and executing agencies to encourage their employees for vaccination in such camps and bear vaccine cost of their employees which can be reimbursed by them or recovered from their running bills with prior consent. If vaccines can be sourced free of cost from State / Railway authorities, then available spare vaccines in such camps may also be administered to nearby Railway employees / community. While RVNL facilitates vaccination, it should be notified that RVNL would in no way be liable for any adverse event arising out of such vaccination. However, a record of persons availing vaccination at camps organized by RVNL may be kept for any future reference. If any executing agency proposes to vaccinate its employees / workers at its own cost at RVNL project sites, the same should also be permitted and facilitated. P.
