Choose a topic that interests you and later deliver the introduction and conclusion via

the google meet platform. Write the introduction using any of the following techniques
as opening or the beginning of your speech: 1. Startling statement - A startling
statement presents information that surprises the audience. 2. Question.

Hazing in university fraternal groups is a destructive and occasionally deadly habit that
stretches back from the previous decades when the first academic fraternities were
founded. Despite rising anti-hazing sentiment, anti-hazing laws in 44 states, and
campus crackdowns, hazing continues to be a rite of passage and tradition in schools
and universities all over the world. The origins and symptoms of hazing in university-
based fraternities and sororities are investigated. Best approaches include encouraging
bystander involvement to stop hazing in the moment, as well as requiring alcohol-free
(dry) fraternity residences and a pledge period finish. What can be the benefit of hazing
and sororities for students? Is it important for us to risk our life to death? Did the
Government or other people do something about this? Can we students bring the
opportunity for this stop and prevent it?

Then, write the body of your speech (at least 200 words)

Hazing in university and college fraternities and sororities is an illegal rite of passage
(against the institution's laws) that allows veteran members to accept or reject new
members based on a range of tests involving varying degrees of physical and
psychological hardship. All incoming pledge classes are subjected to the same severe
hazing that their predecessors were subjected to. If members are intoxicated or
sadistic, hazing can become much more intense. The hazed become the hazers after
initiation, and they repeat the ordeals they went through with equal or greater severity
and measure for the following pledge class.

The number of serious researchers dedicated to studying and highlighting hazing is still
small, but the subject is attracting more attention from social scientists and other
academics concerned with putting an end to the unabated string of deaths in fraternal
chapters and other clubs and sports teams every year from 1970 to 2013. All colleges
and universities, as well as national and international fraternities and sororities, have
rigorous laws prohibiting hazing. If fraternal members subject newcomers to torments
in order to force pledges, neophytes, or associate members to leave a chapter, this is
considered hazing, as opposed to the more traditional hazing methods of subjecting
newcomers to stressful conditions in order to eventually welcome them into the group.
Finally, write the conclusion using any of the following techniques: 1. quotation 2.
anecdote, story, illustration 3. a challenging statement.

“Pagan professors of philosophy, after the death of Hypatia, sought security in Athens,
where non-Christian teaching was still relatively and innocuously free. Student life was
still lively there, and enjoyed most of the consolations of higher education-fraternities,
distinctive garbs, hazing, and a general hilarity.”, said by Will Durant. There is an article
about A drunk pledge who allegedly agreed to allow Kappa Sigma 'brothers' to brand
him with the fraternity's Greek letters during a ski trip in 2010. He was so drunk that he
passed out, but the brothers didn't let that stop them—they branded him one more time,
leading to third-degree burns that took the pledge six surgeries to recover from. Hazing
can be done with the best of intentions. The ultimate goal of hazing, as well as any other
form of initiation, is to bring new members into a group and foster solidarity. We must
prevent the negative impacts of hazing, on the other hand, continues Community from
truly developing.
