Summary of SHN and Swab Requirements for Travellers

Please note this list excludes swab and SHN requirements for the following short-term travel lanes. For more details,
please refer to the webpages for these lanes:

@ Travellers from these countries/regions/places may opt out of dedicated SHN


facilities and serve their 14-day SHN at their place of residence, if they fulfil the
following criteria:
• Travelled to no other country than these countries/regions/places, in the last
consecutive 14 days prior to departure for Singapore;
• Are occupying their place of residence (i.e. residential address) alone, or only
with household members with the same travel history, who are also serving
their SHN of the same duration and period; and
• There is no one ordinarily residing at the place of residence (e.g. domestic
helper) who does not share the same travel history, and the traveller has
already made all necessary arrangements to ensure that any such person will
not reside at the place of residence until the conclusion of the SHN period.

Applications must be made at least three (3) days prior to arrival. To apply for opt out,
Singapore citizens (SC) and permanent residents (PRs) should click on the link here.

For Non-SCs/PRs, the request to opt out should be indicated when seeking entry
approval into Singapore.

The list of countries/regions/places eligible for opt-out of dedicated SHN facilities will
be updated from time to time depending on the public health risk assessment.
Travellers must be prepared that any prior approvals given for opt-out from dedicated
SHN facilities may be revoked, and the prevailing border measures upon entry will
apply, including stay in SHN Dedicated Facility (SDF) and payment, where applicable.

Individual previously diagnosed with COVID-19 infection will still be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test within 72
hours before departure for Singapore. The 72 hours start from the first leg of the journey, for instance from the first leg
of connecting flights taken to reach Singapore.

If the pre-departure COVID-19 swab test result is positive, the recovered individual must submit documentary proof of
his/her past diagnosis of COVID-19, based on his/her first ever positive PCR test result. The date of the first ever
positive PCR test result must be between 22 to 180 days prior to the date of arrival in Singapore.
Please note that individuals will be denied boarding for flights bound for Singapore if they have a recent diagnosis of
COVID-19 infection in the past 21 days.

NOTE:
Singapore only accepts test results from labs in the country that are internationally accredited or recognised by the
respective Government. The test result memo must state the negative test result in English, date that the test was
taken, traveller’s name and either Date of Birth or Passport Number as stated in the passport. If the personal details
used are not stated in the passport, the traveller should have the relevant identity document on hand for verification.

Chargeable Cost
The cost incurred for the COVID-19 swab test is chargeable for all travellers.
The cost incurred for the SDF is chargeable for all travellers, except Singapore citizens or permanent residents who
have left Singapore before 27 March 2020 and return to Singapore on/ before 31 December 2020.
