Narrative Essays:

1. What are the different types of research and explain each?

 Descriptive research: Descriptive research definition: Descriptive research is defined as a

research method that describes the characteristics of the population or phenomenon studied.
This methodology focuses more on the “what” of the research subject than the “why” of the
research subject.
 Analytical research: a specific type of research that involves critical thinking skills and the
evaluation of facts and information relative to the research being conducted. A variety of
people including students, doctors and psychologists use analytical
research during studies to find the most relevant information
 Exploratory research: Exploratory research is the process of investigating a problem that has not
been studied or thoroughly investigated in the past. Exploratory type of research is usually
conducted to have a better understanding of the existing problem, but usually doesn't lead to a
conclusive result.
 Predictive research: is chiefly concerned with forecasting (predicting) outcomes,
consequences, costs, or effects. This type of research tries to extrapolate from the analysis
of existing phenomena, policies, or other entities in order to predict something that has not
been tried, tested, or proposed before.
 Qualitative research: involves collecting and analyzing non-numerical data (e.g., text, video,
or audio) to understand concepts, opinions, or experiences. It can be used to gather in-
depth insights into a problem or generate new ideas for research
 Quantitative research: is the process of collecting and analyzing numerical data. It can
be used to find patterns and averages, make predictions, test causal relationships,
and generalize results to wider populations.
 Applied research: is a methodology used to solve a specific, practical issue affecting an
individual or group. This scientific method of study and research is used in business,
medicine, and education in order to find solutions that may improve health, solve scientific
problems or develop new technology.

main purpose of the research this research mainly focuses on descriptive research analytical research
explanatory research and predictive research.
3.What are the types of research according the process? Elaborately explain each.

Research according to process involves the method on how a person will make his own research,
there are two type of processing research either its qualitative or quantitative research.

4. What are the types of research according the outcome? Elaborately explain each.

Research according to the outcome is a type of research or studying a specific research and how can
we use the outcome of an existing research.

5. What is fundamental or basic research?
