NEEDAR

A Needar application is a facility which can help many people around area
who are in danger through SMS sending with live location and calling
services . It means, when Accident take place at any where then this
application we use. In our Domain “NEEDAR”, we focused on people
who can get help on their emergency time from their family, police,
hospitals or fire-brigade. They no need to fear in that time and get instance
help with the help of gesture who through SMS and calling to there
selected 3 emergency contact. There are many people, who suffer from so
many issues like bus accidents, domestic violence, kidnapping, rape-cases,
bike accident, car accident etc. Our Application focused onthe people who
are in problems can get safe at everywhere and reduce death ration.

DESIGN ENGINEERING
Chapter1
Introduction
1.1 Introduction to Design Engineering
 Much of the world around us is designed in some way. Modern living relies on the
products, systems, and services created to support how we live. The design comes from the
ability to think.

 Design Engineering is an initiative taken by Gujarat Technology University

(GTU) in this direction with the help and guidance of the professors
ofIITsandtheGTUintroductioncouncilisbeingstarted.Wearelookingaheadand
movingtowardsonthe path of innovation.

 DesignEngineeringisageneraltermthatcoversmultipleEngineeringdisciplines
including Electrical and communication, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil,
Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and structural building/
architectural Engineering.

 Design is a plan of system, its implementation and utilization for attending a

goal. It is to change the undesired situation into the desired situation means
to find the solution of undesired situation. Designing means involving goal-
oriented processes.

 Design thinking is a methodology used by the designer to solve a complex

problem and finding desirable solution for the client. A design mind-set is
not problem focused; it is solution-focused and action-oriented towards
creating preferred future. Design thinking drop upon logic, imagination,
intuition, and systemic reasoning to explore possibilities of what could be
and to create desired outcomes that bean it the end user.

 Design thinking is the process of thinking out of the box, therefore, we can
find the best/useful information for our domain and project. And using this
technique, we can easily find the best solution for that domain.

1.2 Design Engineering Steps

 Find the problem

1
DESIGN ENGINEERING
 Select the domain and project
 Develop possible solution
 Select the best possible solution
 Design a prototype
 Test and evaluate the solution
 Communicate
 Redesign
1.3 Introduction of Domain

A NEEDAR application is a facility which can help many people around area who
are in danger through SMS sending with live location and calling services. It means
when Accident take place at anywhere then this application we use. In our Domain
“NEEDAR”, we focused on people who can get help on their emergency time from
their family, police, hospital, or fire-brigade. They no need to fear in that time and get
instance help with the help of gesture who through SMS and calling to their selected 3
emergency contact. There are many people, who suffer from so many issues like bus
accidents, domestic violence, kidnapping, rape-cases, bike accident, car accident etc.
Our Application focused on the people who are in problems can get safe at everywhere
and reduce death ratio.

1.4 Team building & logbook exercise with its importance

Teamwork is most important in design engineering because one person can’t

make perfect design and can’t find the best solution. So, when we work in team, we can
easily find the best solution and we can finish work in short time. Team building means
sharing each other’s ideas and come to a point. Everyone has many ideas or thought so
that they can share their ideas with their mates and research on that ideas and make it
better. A logbook is a record of observations, events or operation taking place. It is
important as we can store our rough idea of the project. It is also important as if we
want to continue our project in future, we can easily reuse the logbook’s information.

1.5 Reverse Engineering

1.5.1 Technology we use

 Fronded
 Android Studio
 Backend

2. Massage Sender
3. GPS Tracker
4. Gesture
5. Information
6. Basic Information

1.5.3 Purpose
In today’s world, it is not safe for a person to travel alone at night especially for
women; it will be unsafe to travel alone because a woman is not highly strong as men. To
provide safety for women the good way to reduce chances in becoming a victim of violent
crime is to identify and call on resources to help you out of unsafe situations. Having safety
up on your phone can diminish our risk and bring assistance when were quire it. Unlike the
other applications available, which work only at the time of Emergency or Danger, this app
can be used as a safety or precaution measure. As it is said that precaution is better than cure.
Our motto in developing this app is to provide a safe environment through smartphone as
today most of the people are carrying smartphones to wherever they go.1

1.5.4 Scope
As the Indian economy and the society embrace new frontiers, the Indian woman of
today is more and more a part of the public places, claiming her rightful place in the
society and the commercial world. Women need to feel safe in public places, and children
for man other vulnerable category as well, when it come stored safety. He or she has gone
missing so we would be able to trace him by the information provided in the database
through gaps.

1.5.5 Objective

We are trying to contribute little efforts towards women which will ensure the safety
and respect for women, so that she can also have right storm we quell like men. Our project is
based on such application which is going to help user by locating the root device through
GPS, and message the content in text format to contacts as per user wish.

1.5.6 Study of current system

The existing system of others application provides the user alerts to your closed ones
or by standards with your location in a situation of distressed emergency. And will inform
and update your closed ones if you are stuck in an accident place or at any unsafe place or
disaster happen.

1.5.7 Problem and weaknesses of current system

The Drawbacks of the existing system is when emergency situation occurs the user
cannot set the alert function when they are in risk situation and immediately they cannot pass
their location to friends and family members to intimate they are in risk. Some of the existing
comprises of three coloured buttons based on the seriousness of a situation. So, you can tap
the one you want depending on your situation. The problem with existing apps ends panic
alerts to emergency contacts in a problem attic situation.

1.5.8 Requirements of new system

 System Requirements
This system requires a computer with Internet connection.
 Performance Requirements
 99%uptime
 Increased Performance by Independent all platform
 Safety Requirements
 System integrity check
 Rollback to last known best state
 Extensible Database design to accommodate future trends.
 Security Requirements
 Dynamic password for login.
 Multilevel encryption for data storage.
