This lesson deals with the knowledge skills and attitude required in preparing and presenting appetizers.

At the end of the lesson, you should be able to;

1. Identify tools and equipment needed in the preparation of appetizers


2. Classify appetizers according to ingredients; and
3. Identify ingredients according to the given recipe.
4. Perform mise-en-place neatly and orderly.

Learning Task 1.3: Video Yourself!


Knowing the importance of appetizers in our meal and how it is done, it’s time to explore yourself
what you can do in your own kitchen. Apply what you had learned into a real task by making a short
video by following these simple guidelines listed below.

1. Find a simple recipe in preparing an appetizer.

2. Perform mis en place correctly and orderly.

3. Grab all of your ingredients (you may use left overs), utensils, and equipment needed.

4. One by one, wash, cut, dice, chop, and measure all of your ingredients.

5. Place them into appropriately sized dishes, bowls, and containers for easy grabbing.

6. Arrange them properly according to use in your working table with label what kind of appetizer it
is.

7. Always observe the criteria in performing your task for best result.

8. Send the video and name it using the provided format. (PT1_Miseenplace_Fullname)

9. The video shall be passed as instructed by the teacher.

You can upload your video using your Youtube channel, then send/post the link of your video to the
submission bin/link provided by the teacher.

Option B (Google Drive)

You can upload video using your Google drive, then send/post the link of your video to the submission
