b- Balance of money = 52,000+5,000 – 40,000 = 17,000
Therefore, shareholders would receive $17,000. Note that rent cannot be sold.

c- Yes, it could pay up to 52,000 in dividends for stockholders which is the available cash
and since the loan payments start January 1, 2006. The bank would be upset since the
company would be at risk of not paying the interest in 2006 nor close the loan at the
end of 2007.
