EAT 233 ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SKILLS

OPEN ENDED LAB LEVEL 3

OBJECTIVE The objective of this study is to collect the data and to
prepare the elevation plan of the existing Kompleks
Pusat Pengajian Jejawi 3, UniMAP.
PROBLEM STATEMENT Surveying is a comparatively simple but extremely
important process. The significance of relative
elevations cannot be exaggerated. They are so
important that one cannot imagine a construction
project in which they are not critical. As an engineer
attached to a consultant company, you are asked to
produce an elevation plan for the construction of new
drainage system at Kompleks Pusat Pengajian Jejawi
3, UniMAP.
WAYS AND MEANS Apparatus
The group must identify the availability of the selected
apparatus in the lab before going to the site or location
of the study.

Procedure
Each group is required to come out with a relevant
procedure to carry out the study based on the
appropriate guideline or manual. The document must
be made ready for verification by the instructor during
the laboratory activity.

Data Acquisition
All data collected are observation during the study
must be tabulated in proper format for easy
verification and presentation of the technical report.
RESULTS Each group is required to submit a technical report
within two weeks to present the elevation drawing
plan. The report should include a proper procedure,
analysis of data and the outcome of the study.
