Lesson Plan using the Assure Model

Subject: Araling Panlipunan

Topic: Globalization

Sub-topic: Concept of Globalization, dimension of globalization

Year: Grade 10

Age group: 15-16 years old

Time: 1 hour

Date: Oct, 23, 2021

I. Analyze Learners
General Characteristics:
This lesson is prepared to grade 10 students with a total number of 40 students and composed
of 25 girls and 15 boys. Students have diverse background and have different learning style, auditory to
visual and kinetic are the common learning style of the students.

Entry competencies
Students will be able to explain the concept of Globalization

Learning Styles
Students learning styles vary from auditory to visual and also kinetic learners. In order to ensure
that the students actually learn, each style must be considered.

II. Objectives
Students should be able to:

Cognitive

a. Show and Explain the meaning and concept of Globalization

Psychomotor
b. Analyze the cause and effect of Globalization

Affective
c. Connect the importance of Globalization to the progress of the Philippines

III. Selected Media, Materials and Methods


Computer: A computer will be used to run slides on the overhead projector.

Projector: The teacher will use the projector to allow the students to view the
lesson and examples prepared to help the students easily understand the topics
or lesson.

Black board/ white board: The board will be used to write some of the insights of
students and teachers

Marker Pen and chalk: This will be used to write on the whiteboard.

IV. Utilize Media and Material


Preview the Materials: The teacher previews the textbook and reference books
for the activity to ensure that the activities and worksheets are effective for the lesson.

Prepare the Materials:

The teacher will setup the computer and overhead projector before the class.
These pieces of equipment will then be turned on and tested.

Prepare the Environment

The seating will be arranged so that all students will have a clear view of the
projection of the projector. The speakers will be place in an area where all the students
will be able to hear clearly.

Provide the Learning Experience

The teacher will ask the students by their name on what is there prior knowledge
on Globalization and introduce to them the topic and connect there answer on the
discussions. Then teacher will proceed to explain the topic and will used the inquiry
method based on the discussions. Students are free to collaborate during the
discussions, free to ask questions in order to ease the confusion of the students in the
topic and express their personal knowledge.

V. Require Learner Participation


Teacher prepared a group activity for the students. Students are divided into 4
groups and each group has a designated task to present in the classroom and the
individual task given to students is that they should actively participate on the
presentation of different groups.

VI. Evaluate and Revise


Teacher prepared a short Quiz to determine if they have learned in the lesson,
and to determine the things that as a teacher that needs to improve.
