At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a.) Identify non-verbal cues and equipment according to the need of the infant and
toddler.
b.) Discuss different stages of normal growth and development of infants and
toddlers.
c.) Apply the right approach to calm and console infants and toddlers.
d.) Respond to distressed infants and toddlers appropriately.
6. Motivation
a. Inquiry based method. Asking few questions about on how to
comfort an infant/toddlers.
b. A video clip presentation from youtube.com on the Importance of
providing care and support to infants and toddlers.
B. Development of the Lesson
1. Activity
Group activity. Explore the world of infants/toddler. Let the students
to explore and identify the different procedures in providing care and
support to infants and toddler.
2. Analysis
Make a video presentation of the importance of providing the care
and support to infants and toddlers. Discuss how this importance in the
care giving job.
3. Abstraction
Provide an insight about learning outcome of provide care and
support to infants and toddlers.
4. Application
Individual practical demonstration about the different procedures in
comforting infants and toddlers, bathing and dressing
infants/toddlers and feeding infant and toddlers.

How can you show the importance of care and support to an infant and
