Is the Philippines an ideal place for me to grow as a person and as a professional someday?

We can live an ideal place where we can grow and develop as a person. In fact, we individually
will decide on how we are going to live, it actually depends on our own individual self, but not the place
where we belong. On the other way around, at somehow our place or specific country serves as an
integral part on our development and growth as a person. The activities and opportunities within a certain
state determine and helps the members of the state develop and improve. Hence, it is more advantage to a
state on having a greater and higher economic growth. It gradually benefits the growth of the members of
the state respectively. The rate and the economic growth of a certain state continuously affect the
opportunities, growth, and competency of its members. The Philippines has a booming economy, with
enormous potential for further growth and development. In fact, there are also economic problems to deal
with, including lack of opportunities and unemployment, growing public debt and a trade deficit with
same commentators suggesting that the country needs to develop new industries and potential institution
to remain competitive internationally. There are also wide disparities involve in income and growth
between the country’s different socioeconomic classes. Further, absolutely the Philippines help my
growth and development as a person. In fact, Filipinos are known to be outstanding, competitive, and
hardworking. It is an ideal place for me wherein I can continuously develop my skills, competencies, and
abilities. Hence, there’s no such place where we can consider an ideal place for us. At somehow, it
actually reflects our growth through social interaction and one’s perception. Sociality and environment
copes up and nurture our individuality. But, it is still on our hands on how we will go to develop and
nurture our self as a person. Additionally, despite of the some economic problems conflicting the
Philippine, there are still fruitful and effective opportunities that mold each individual that made us to be
an ideal person to our certain state. Hence, absolutely the Philippines greatly help on my growth and
development as a person. On the other way around, I don’t see any situations wherein I can able to find
more opportunities in the Philippines that will help me nurture as a professional someday.

Our culture has one of the world’s most close-knit family ties. Lack of opportunities in the
Philippines for the professionals drive them to go abroad to pursue their dreams and find better
opportunities. Our small and poor economy cannot accommodate a big dreamer’s hope and aspiration.
Seeking a good paying and job abroad is the only solution. Additionally, the lack of opportunity in our
country is really the main reason for these lamentable phenomena, which has now caused one other
seniors and result of this exodus, brain drain. Our own highly educated countrymen are even willing to
accept job opportunities abroad even in lower categories. They do this just so they can take flight from the
country they love to earn much higher than the meager income they get here. And yet, there is now an
unimaginable influx of other nationalities into our country. But the main problem of the Philippines is that
the Filipinos don’t take advantage especially the government and the higher sectors. The problem is the
lack of initiative and confidence among Filipinos.

Additionally, the Philippines have had lots of opportunities in some way, but I don’t like the
culture of Filipinos and the governance of the government. I don’t see any opportunities or situations
wherein I can pursue my professionalism in the Philippines. There are so many opportunities in other
countries wherein I can develop and nurture my professionalism and find a higher position. But when the
culture and governance of the Philippines change its system and propose more opportunities to future
aspirants, wherein I can able to develop and nurture my growth as professionals here in the Philippines. In
a way, yes through it is really we who must create opportunities for ourselves. Further, the lack of
opportunity in our country is not the reason for the Filipino Diasporas. It is an attitude, culture, and
vision. Many Filipinos want to get rich quickly and the only way they think can do this is to earn in terms
of dollars. This is the reason why even practicing doctors, study nursing in order to go abroad. We are an
agricultural and mining country but only few want to be agriculturists or geologists. They mostly prefer
nursing, education, accountancy, law, etc. where employment opportunities are low, an oversupply
unemployed or underemployed college graduates. Hence, I prefer to nurture and develop my
professionalism in countries where I can find more opportunities and excellent competency.
