Observation 1.

1. What is the topic the lesson covered?

The theme of the class and the beginning of the period is "introduction to the present simple
tense and the use of daily routines". √

2. What is the aim of the lesson? Is it evident?

The objective of the lesson is evident as we put into practice the aims and objectives we plan
to use in the class. The class is based on a social cognitive model, so the three "p's" of
presentation, practice and production will be used to review the present simple and daily
routines, trying to fulfill the lesson aim. √

3. Based on the different types of input and output, what types are present in the lesson?

In this class the input is presented because the teacher presents the class by showing a video,
teamwork and answering questions in a guide with questions, the interaction of the students
and these factors is a type of input, because the input is the process of learning the content.
Are the input and output restricted or authentic?

4. Does the teacher use any type of warm-up? If so, which one?

The teacher includes this type of team building warm-up because it consists of team building
and spending time on the activities proposed by the teacher. But what does she do at the
beginning? She asks Ss to practice a tongue twister.

5. Does the lesson comply with the principles of lesson planning?

At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher reviews the topic that they are practicing from the
last class to improve it in the current one (Objectives). Also, she is aware of the time for the
class and how it is going to be presented (Timing), she proposes how the class is going to be
for her students and how they will carry out the activities and at the end and at the end, she
asks her students for practice. (Sequence). The teacher helps her students during the activities
(Assessment) and also, she uses videos, flashcards and worksheets (Materials) the principles
are coherence, variety, and flexibility.

6. How did the teacher end the lesson?

The class ends with an activity, which is about filling in the blank spaces correctly, at that
moment she reminds students of the verb form in the present simple and also reminds them of
the translation of some. Likewise, she reminds them of the homework they must do at home.
Once the activity is finished, she has a student volunteer read to correct the exercise and also
the pronunciation. Finally, she thanks them, and asks for applause for them. √

7. What aspects would you say are positive? Which ones are negative? What would you
change?

The positive aspects are that the teacher develops different activities for all skills, for
example, listening, speaking, reading and writing. Although the class is developed in an
understandable way for students of this level, we think that more audiovisual resources should
be presented, so that the comprehension is much better. Good. 3.8
