3. (Track 35)

St.1_______: Hi Sally, where did you go for your last vacation?

St.2_______: I went to Cartagena de Indias, a beautiful city in Colombia

St.1_______: Really? Why did you go there?

St.2_______: Well... to practice my Spanish.

St.1_______: What was your favorite place in Cartagena?

St.2_______: I liked many places, but the best one was the Sweets Hail. You go there
to buy desserts made out of tropical fruits. It's a colorful corridor with yellow arches.
There are people everywhere selling delicious candies, and well you know me, I'm
fond of food, so I HAD to visit it.

St.1_______: I've never tasted desserts made out of tropical fruits...

St.2_______: Oh, here, be my guest! This one is called: "Happiness." All their names
are so original... Milk Dolls, Little Whispers... I wrote them down in order not to forget
them.

St.1_______: Mmm, this one tastes like happiness, for sure! If all the candy were this
good, I guess it was difficult to choose! How did you decide what to buy?

St.2_______: Well, vendors are so nice and they offer you samples so you can make
up your mind. After tasting some of them, I finally decided to buy "Happiness,"
"Pineapple Sighs," and "Milk Dolls."

St.1_______: How long did you stay in Cartagena?

St.2_______: Two weeks. I'd like to back to Colombia some day because there are
many other cities to visit. I loved Cartagena! In fact, I bought a novel by Gabriel Garcia
Márquez, Love in the Time of Cholera, in order not to feel too nostalgic after leaving.
